I remember to have seen this in large Plastic shops and also large toy shops. You may even check it in automobile/accessory stores. You may require a heavy guage stopper.

Alternatively, get one made by Teak wood. Two pieces of 6/4/18 inches should be ideal. Use two 10mm anchor bolts to fix each one of them to the floor.

Search net, you may get more details. If I get some, I will post it on this thread.

The Esteem just had poor low end torque + a very tall 2nd gear ratio. Both of these, combined, lead to poor driveability.

For a community whose name has "BHP" in it, I'd say bring the 1.6' on!

Hey GTO,
Did you get a chance to TD the 1.6. A lot of people here are awaiting your TD and review of the 1.6.

VW is being a total teaser and hard to get when it comes to the 1.6 ; Consider:
1. None promo ads for the 1.6, hardly any mention anywhere. One would imagine that with an all out power product as the 1.6, it could've been promoted far better as a power packet. (Im sure they have their good reasons not to)
2. No TD available with dealers, more importantly no TD done yet by BHP, c'mon GTO !!!

Checked on my booking at Palace cross today, sigh ! Its a long long wait, according to SE only 2 cars per dealer have been delivered so far. Next lot expected only next month along with the 1st lot of Vento.
2 Vento TD cars heve arrived today, automatic & petrol.

Been through a 500 km round trip on NH2 etc. Overall FE received 13.05 kmpl with a lot of spirited driving with 4&1/2 passengers A/C on always, bad weather with heavy rains at times. Reached top speed of indicated 163 kmph. The car has become more responsive now after crossing 2200 kms.

Hey sadnabria , you mentioned the engine got better after the run in . So do you see a huge difference in city driving? I am still struggling to manage to take this baby off on 2nd gear. Its kind of sedated pick and takes bit longer to churn out good amount of power.

btw i havent gone past 4.5k rpm til now.

Are you starting from rest in 2nd? Hope not. I am ok with 2nd gear response, it is slightly tallish, meaning you need to be in 1st for some more time/speed before upshifting. It is similar to swift. Infact some one switching from a 3 pot engine will see more difference.

Starting from 2nd? No: that is what 1st is for!

On the other hand, if people must do that, they need a diesel!

Even in diesels, one needs to start from 1st GEAR in modern cars!

Certainly, any car. It is a mistake: just that a diesel might let one get away with it.
