I tried the aero twins on my 9G Corolla. Thought they would be better than the OEM wipers. The Bosch wipers screeched whilst wiping the screen but it was not due to dust.

The Aero Twins were premium accessories a couple of years ago. Went right back to the OEM wipers. Rs 3200 down the drain. The Aero twins are gathering dust in my loft waiting to be gifted away to a friend who is interested.

Check with Ajmat. He has Aerotwins on his Swift. Should be OK. Mine is running for almost two years without any issue.

My brand new Bosch wipers screech, this happens when it rains pretty heavily & windshield is clean.

The Bosch wipers have done down in quality.

I have a problem with my wipers. A year ago, I replaced the original set (that came with the car) with a new one at MASS which was a Syndicate. Unfortunately, I experienced shudders in the movement esp when the setting was at 'INT'. The wipers performed relatively better at the other settings.

Now, thinking that it was an issue with the wiper blade, I went ahead, junked them and got myself a pair of BOSCH wiper blades hoping all my trouble would be over. To my utter dismay, the very shuddering I experienced before with Syndicate is found in BOSCH as well. I have tried soaking the blades in soap solution etc as recommended by some in an attempt to make them soft and supple but in vain.

All of the above is confusing.

The Bosch Wipers / AERO TWINS are either good or they are NOT.
Linea / GrandPunto come OE fitted with Aero Twins.

Therefore:
1. Bosch Wipers have either gone down in quality OR
2. The wipers bought are Duplicate OR
3. The Glass profile / Wiper motor / Wiper stalk etc are not compatible with Aero Twins OR
4. The Bosch wipers bought were old stock with the rubbers having become hard.

I bought Aero Twins for my Safari on saturday and fitted them. With "Wash and Wipe" the windshield cleans fabulously. There is no screeching.

Yes, the price is steep.
MRP: Rs. 1100 for RHS (Driver side) 24" and Rs. 850 for LHS 20" (Passenger side).
For LHS 21" would also do because the 20" is slightly smaller (but adequate) than the stock ones. I did not take the risk because I did not have my vehicle at the time of buying and I did not want to take the risk of a bigger wiper interfering.

How much does 17" cost?
For my m800.

purchased aerotwin wipers for my magnum few months back for rs 1650 from the dealer
man they suck-dirt gets stuck in between the twin blades and you get lines all over the windshield
the wipers pull water back over the windshield instead of wiping it away
my advice the original bosch single blade wipers are 100 times better than the aerotwins and they cost rs 300
stay away from the aerotwins they suck real bad at least in india

I am unable to find bosch wipers anywhere in Delhi! All shops stock those syndicate ones which are useless!

I had similar problem.

The only distributor, in Pune, mentioned on their web-site did not stock the same.

After month(s) of searching, I lost my cool:) and phoned up their SO/Mumbai ( Details here) and also wrote to them at "contact" (Choose Automotive AfterMarket).
Bosch (B'lore) Sr.Manager (marketing) replied back to me and deputed their person from Mumbai office to speak to me and resolve the issue. They also spoke to another distributor who phoned me up and was all help. (The distributor also offered to go to my home and fit the appropriate wiper to my vehicle !!!.)

As they say "Jor ka jhatka dhire se laga"lol:.

TSK, I suggest that you try out this formulae. Your experience may help others.

The contact details are also reproduced below:
SO/Delhi - Bosch Limited, Rishyamook, 85A, Panchkuin Road, New Delhi - 110 001, India

SO/Ghaziabad - Bosch Limited, Rishyamook, 85A, Panchkuin Road, New Delhi - 110 001, India

Well I tried calling up their numbers, but it says "This number is temporarily out of service"

There is one shop in the spare market in EOK, just before LSR, on Nehru Place side. Near Bhandari House, I think its called Zamrudpur. This guy has all size.

Check for the right size before getting it fitted

I got mine for a bit over Rs. 300 from an accessories shop on J M Road (Geeta something... if I recall correct). I was skeptical and wanted to buy them from the authorized distributor or Tilak Rd., but time and the traffic chaos there made me decide otherwise.

Haven't been able to use them much, but the recent rains in Poona let me use them again, and they are performing fairly well.

These ones are the regular ones. These are priced ~ Rs. 300 +/- depending on the size.

The Aero Twins are costlier - much costlier:eek:. These are as OE fitted on Linea / Grande Punto. Totally flexible and bracketless.

Yes, The Delhi no is out of service. The Ghaziabad no is OK.

I have now now asked my "new found contact" in Bosch Mumbai to mail me the contact details of Delhi Bosch person(s).

I will revert back, sirjee - not to worry. :)

Yes, I got that from the earlier posts. But I guess the same dealer would very likely stock Aero Twins too... in case someone from Poona wants the same.

Finally I got through.
For all Noida people, here is the address
Rahul Automobiles
D-19 Sector 10 Noida.
This is opposite sector 12, which is opposite the noida stadium.

Tanveer, the OE wiper sizes are 24" and 20" (600mm and 500mm).
Bosch lists two 22" as the size for the Safari.
I suggest you get the OE size.

The bosch 20" is slightly smaller when physically compared with the OE LHS.
Even a 21" Bosch will do for the LHS
