Wish I can figure out one for my Maruti 800 too.
Has anybody tried Bosch Aerotwins on their Maruti 800?

Turns out this variety of wiper blade is generically called
the low-profile "flat-blade" wiper.
Introduced in Europe in 2001 and in USA in 2005.

It has a curved flat design with one or two integrated spring flexor strips and typically a built-in spoiler.
This gives improved aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, reducing wind noise by upto three dB.

With sharper windshield rakes, blades have gotten longer. There is as a result, a new problem: wiper lift, caused by wind drag. As a result modern wipers have a windspoiler (airfoil section).
This is to improve blade-to-glass contact at high-speed.

Brands of flat-blade wiper other than the Bosch Aerotwin are:
Valeo Ultimate-Flat, Classic Fusion-Flat, Peak Optix-Flat, XOPC Flat, ...

Thanks Nick. Got these wipers installed yesterday. Works great..!

Dear Team BHP members,

I have recently bought a pair of BOSCH wiper set for Swift VDi and the installation was done by the shop people itself. Three days back when I was driving in the rain the passenger side blade came out of the stem and was hanging. This is happening continuously and I am worried since I have to drive during the nights. I have checked the clip and it is not broken. This is the second set of BOSCH wiper set having the problem. The earlier one the clip got broken and I have to change into new one.

Can anyone throw a light why this is happening and remedies if any? Many thanks in advance.

please:

FYI (in case not discussed earlier) - EVO now have the BOSCH wipers for sale.

same has happened with me, go back to the wiper installer and he will bend the rod (the lock which hold the wiper blade), and this will be resolved !!

(this worked in my case)

In the same attachment, they've listed City twice under Honda cars. I reckon the second one will be for Civic.
I've just picked up an used Civic, will most likely be changing to aerotwins soon.

Hey guys,

Looking for the Bosch Aero Twins for my Swift and called up the authorized dealer to find out the cost. Apparently, they are out of stock at the moment but will be available in 3 days. The model is Bosch Aero Twin for Swift 21"/19"
Part No - 3397 005 290. But they quoted me a price of rupees 1800-1900. Is this the cost? Does anyone know the MRP?

Hello All,

I had fixed Bosch wipers on my M800 in the last monsoon. They worked perfect at that time. Good cleaning as well as no sound. But after a year of usage, they've started to produce lot of squeaking sound and the wipe is just ok :Frustrati.

My inference is that even Bosch wipers are same like any other brands. When new they perform well. But after some time, their performance deteriorate.

- Jose.
