re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Dear All, See this failed amalgamation of Bolero and G-Class by Mr Pradeep Pandit of Pandit and Co. The rear has the front bumper of a Sumo and the Civic ORVM are hideous enough. This car was being done in front of me a few months back and now as I see it this is a waste of money.

thanks

Looks like a half hearted effort. Its interesting that Bolero-G Class makeover is the discussion point in both the mod threads.

There is a much better work done in Kerala that is available in the tastefully modified thread, which might actually pass off as original at a quick glance.

People for sure ran out of time and energy halfway working on this .There is nothing on this which atleast tries to speak of G-Class except for a failed front face pack ! Irony that the other one on the other thread pulled off so nicely

This is not a mod job per se. This guy is from Hyderabad and builds custom shapes like this for specific purposes. The primary purpose of these things are not mobility but something else.

He has a museum where he stores all such models. If you recall the 96 cricket world cup in India, the drinks trolley that comes to the ground was in the shape of a cricket ball or bat which I believe was designed by him. There open on the side to transform into a mobile-stall.

Most of these are built for a specific context/theme where it is perfectly appropriate.

For example, would that tennis ball look out of the world as a drinks stall or a kiosk desk at a tennis tournament? Same with the burger as a fast food stall.

There are a lot more such models that he designed. Here is link to his official site: http://sudhacars.com/

There is a similarly painted black Octi with orange stripes going around in Kollam. I think it was KL2 regn too.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Since we're on the topic of G class replicas, here's another one from a popular used car site. The Tempo Trax really does look like a smaller and more basic G class. It would looked even more like one with some minor modifications, but after adding Qualis headlights and an Endeavour bumper/grille, this Judo looks nothing like a G glass from the front.

Did he get a pair of alloys or a set.. The fit and finish is least acceptable. I think the paint job is the only saving grace.

Opinion: A sheer waste of money.

Why do they do it ?
- to show ? one of its kind ?
- rear half damaged and hence front half salvaged ?
- any practicality ? e.g. parking ?
- why do they do it ?

Dear All, this is the original muscle car of India i.e A Contessa. Dont know why some people are so die-hard fans of ugly modifications that they practically ruin the car.

Hi all, Another awkward creation done on the humble Swift/Dzire by Pandit and Co. I mean by seeing this car its evident that how one can reap money by hideous designs. From front to end its a weird cabrio attepmt.

thanks

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Spotted at Mapro Gardens near Wai (in Maharashtra).

Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!-img_20131221_105157.jpg
It looks like a regular Fiat Palio

But, move around a little bit, and its suddenly a pick-up truck (maybe???)
