Is that Auto's width stretched as well? India's first wide body auto?

Did not observe any noticeable difference in width, but height seems to be lesser than other autos. With 9 on board, he was not going slow either, that too on the pothole filled Mysore road! I was travelling in an auto and the driver of my auto had to really accelerate and try his level best to catch up with him so that I could get a good picture!

Really unique. looks like a macho auto. appears wider and lower than other autos like its built for drag racing and with 9 people at the back maybe he can do wheelies also.

Not 9 people at the back. 9 people in all, including the driver! 3 in front (driver and 2 passengers on either sides sharing his seat) and 6 including 4 adults and 2 kids at the back! So ''well balanced'' All of them inside seems to be sitting crouched down because of the reduced height!

WOW !!, This is some kind of a mod.

I think it is also serving the most important purpose to the auto by adding more stability . As it is, the autos will be taking any turn dangerously with no grip on the street. I always feel the auto will lift up while turning.

A shortened TATA Indica with due inspiration from the Smart ForTwo. A mish-mash of Corolla head lights, tavera tail lights, zen side mirrors and a whole lot of metal surgery.

To be honest, if not for the mix and match of different car parts, the shortened Indica looks quite executed.
With it's frugal engine, this might be providing far better than FE than it's longer sibling.

Might have been shortened in an accident and rebuilt.

I love this just for the short turning radius - ideal Bangalore car

Revas batteries will have half the range with Indicas body

Need to see if the car had an exhaust - will answer this question.

I dont know if someone observed : the door on this car is a combination of front and rear Indica door. Its a work of art - seamlessly joining 2 half door panels, while managing to use the same front window glass!

Re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

This has been modded for Rs 460000/- seems steep. With Power steering disc brakes and a music system with subwoofer.
