The very same link I shared above. Mine is Dec 2023. How much did you pay to install it?

4. I have paid 1k.for 5 sensors for 2023 manufacturing with no warranty. No longer sounds like a good deal. For another car, i remember paying 500/piece with local warranty and a bill all in with installation.
5. I have raised a return request now. Will.simply visit a dealer and get it done directly instead.
I got the sensors installed from the JK dealer during recent tyre change and while the bill doesnt mention that I bought a JK UXRoyale smart tyre or TPMS at all, the 5 years warranty got updated inside the treel app.

I paid Rs400 per sensor which I believe is a reasonable price along with peace of mind since warranty shows in app and is valid pan India. As per my understanding, warranty gets updated from the date of sensor manufacturing automatically.

Edit- It seems that the Flipkart deal is not as appealing as it seems. Better to buy these sensors offline but some offline sellers charge as high as 750/sensor.

Looks like a decent deal for 5 units.
I have now returned this product as I was not convinced after reading all the fine print and a chat with the seller. Good on him to have called me and told me everything including the fact that there is zero warranty.

Mfd date is exactly 10 Months old.
It's been almost 3months of purchase, yesterday I got time to get TPMS installed in my Harrier.

Installer: Uday Tyre Care ( Yokohama Club )
Location: K.R. Road
Installation Cost : 1200 for 5 wheels including wheel Balancing

When I handed the harrier over for installation, three or four guys showed up right away, and removed all the wheels at a time.

They had trouble inserting the valve since I was taking pictures of the job. Two extremely conscious guys struggled to pull the valves and tried to insert them very cautiously. When one of them realised that he was standing on the alloy while wearing footware, he took it off right away. In the meantime, a different guy, not realizing I was watching, came and pulled it hard, breaking the valve, but they replaced it.

They later learnt how to install the valve, take the sensor out of it, and reattach it to the valve. They began reattaching the car's wheels even before I could figure out how it works.

I subsequently discovered that scanning the codes on the boxes is an alternative method of scanning the code of the sensors.
We had to re arrange the tyres to its position as shown in the app as we didn't know which wheel has which sensor in it. However, the software was unable to recognize a code for a spare tyre, they even had to swap the sensor for a brand-new one, Still app was showing unable to accept as it was installed in another vehicle. The same issue persisted on both sensors.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

Had a doubt regarding the TPMS warnings; the recommended tyre pressure for Hyryder is 33 psi, and I generally maintain the same. Yesterday I observed that the readings went as high as 42 psi, and this wasn’t even a highway drive, and the notifications were really irritating.

My question is, what readings should be set as warnings?

I am from Mumbai Suburban area, I have enquired with various dealer and authorised dealer, everyone is quoting me 1200 to 1500 per sensor plus extra 150 for wheel balancing and weight.

Any shoutout much appreciated if you know any dealership within Mumbai with reasonable pricing.

I am afraid that I am of no help here as I have no contacts in Mumbai. I will post in a WhatsApp group and if someone gives a lead, will share with you here for your and everyone else's benefit.

The sensors were sold at lower price since I bought the tyres as well. The price you have quoted is the usual retail price.

A commonly discussed place for buying sensors at lower price is here:

Take a look at this JK TREEL SMART TYRE TR414 1 PEICE OF TREEL Vehicle Tool Roll on Flipkart
https://dl.flipkart.com/s/iTUDOpNNNN

But, one ends up paying for installation, wheel balancing etc. and one also needs to verify return and exchange etc. in case a sensor is defective.

Lastly, the best time to buy Treel sensors offline is while buying and changing the tyres.

Thank you for responding
Spoke to the flipkart seller, the product is MFG 2023, but without warranty, more recent MFG 2024 is availale however only on https://thereliablecompany.in/", he did caution about frequent complaints regarding erratic readings, His recommendation was to go for SenyAir (5K) or BOSCH (7K), after speaking to him I think I should prefer offline purchase only.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

I installed TPMS in my VW Taigun from ASC. The manual itself says to do wheel balancing but ASC convinced me not required and since i normally don't prefer ASC for wheel balancing and alignment I went to a Tire shop which is quite famous here which deals with all brands and they also advised the same and sent me away. Any recommendations? Should I just continue or get the balancing done ?

Generally tire shops dont refuse balancing for obvious reasons. To help you answer your query, when I recently got the internal TPMS installed, no additional weight was required to compensate for the TPMS sensor. So I also believe that the ASC and tire shop are correct when they tell you that balancing is not required after TPMS sensor installation.

Strictly speaking, most tire manufacturers recommend balancing if a tire has been removed and refitted on the rim. But many tires are being removed and refitted everywhere for puncture repair and run fine without wheel balancing.

Yes the best and most cost effective way of adding TPMS is to install it at the time of tire change from an offline shop.

I’d suggest getting it done. It’s relatively a very small sum and allows you to carefully inspect each tyre closely for cracks, bulges and uneven wear, and carry out tyre rotation if required.

Are tyres required to be removed from the rim for puncture repair? In my experience, most tyre shops don’t even bother to take off the front tyres during routine tubeless plugs, and only ask for the rear tyres to be removed due to the lack of easy access.

Yes my bad, I was talking about situations where a mushroom puncture is used for repair. In my 15 years of car ownership, my car's tyre has been removed and refitted on the rim for puncture repair only 2-3 times out of maybe some dozen punctures I have got repaired. But balancing was never done post refitting.

I doubt there will be any cracks or uneven tear or if rotation is required since the car is just a month old completing just 800+ KM's
