And when you are reviewing it, I also want to know if the 17 inchers foul anywhere within the wheel well. Thanks ;-).
Sir,

I did not follow;
Can you please shed some light ?

What 17" in which wheel well ?

These rims are sold as a set of 4. Never as a set of 5.
No where in the world does any one buy a set of 5. I only have 4. The spare wheel is a standard / regular - **** rim & Indian Tyre. It is a spare for temporary use until one can make it to a automated tyre repair shop !!!

DTE is more popular in the south but not many dealers for the same.

A RESMUS end-can for 13K odd, is again too steep for me considering that you could get a custom designed cat-back exhaust system for the DDiS at a lower price or again other end-cans for 1/3rd .
Sir,

My first choice was a re-map. I have done that in my RS.
However, I was told that the Swift Smokes & the re-map is not perfect. Hence, I did not go in for it.

I was under the impression that Chiptuning.com was German. Is it British ? I could be wrong. I am sorry if I stated any wrong information....
DTE Systems - Chiptuning: Start page

With regards the Remus - Yes it is steep. But what are my options ? Miltech ? Prices ?

Trying to get some small things done in / for it.

I will document the work in progress & all that is being installed.

There is ICE & Alloy Rims + Remus Exhaust + Chip [tuning] etc.

So here it goes :-

The ICE work is just starting as we speak.
It will be done by Boom - Bandra.

1st step is the stripping of the car - damping - noise kill.
I shall take as many pictures as I can & try to post them here.

Hi Bhagwan,

I have got a few queries i would like to ask you about your rims. I myself am using OZ Racing Canova wheels which i got imported from UK. I had met with an accident wherein i damaged one rim and had gone to Four Seasons to get a replacement in October 2007. I had paid an advance for one rim and even told Mr. Lalit that i would mind changing all 05 rims. For some reason i was made to wait for almost a year and i never ended up getting my rims. I was told that they are having logistical issues with OZ Italy. I was finally asked to take my advance back, which i did last month. So my question is, when did you purchase these rims and how much did they cost you? Did you have to wait for a long time to get them? I still need to purchase a new set of rims but don't know any other dealer other that Four Seasons.

@bhagwan, I think you have some confusion regarding the wheel well. Wheel well is where your functioning wheels go in, not the slot of spare wheel. Since you have done upsize to 17" wheels (14" is OE and 15" is the max considered safe), this question is.

Sir,

I had purchased a 15" OZ Grand Tourismo with Bridgestone Tyres.
This I had installed.
I was not very happy with the 15"
I traded that back & purchased the 17" instead.
This I got with 1 of my favourite Tyres - SP Sport Max.

I did not have to wait.

However, you are correct.
OZ is done by Methods in India. 4 seasons is a dealer for it. If Methods does not import it, what can 4 seasons do ? Ramesh is the main person to speak with in Methods. Google them & take the matter up with them.

I am very very happy with my 17" Oz grand Tourismo. I have the same rim on my RS too. However, the tyre there is the Goodyear - GSD 3 [no comments]

Sorry Sir,

I am illinformed.

I was under the impression that a wheel well is where the spare tyre is fitted.
I only have 4 OZ's that I have purchased.

If your read the post above you will realise that I was a 15" OZ Grand Tourismao person. I did not like it, so I moved over to a 17"

Yes, the ride is not 'smooth' but the 'pleasure' on coming into a corner & clipping the apex is far far better than that from a 15" !!!

Hi Bhagwan,

Im sure Four Seasons has their reasons for the delay with my wheels but i definitely dont believe it would take almost a year to get a set of wheels. Anyway how much did you pay for your rims?

thanks for the close up shot bhagwan, seems like the end can is rated for a 1.3 litre 66KW(90bhp) engine.
googled some links of the remus in combination with our beloved multijet engine. most of them are corsa 1.3cdtis

here's another corsa 1.3 with a magnaflow. liked this one better.

the sound is raspy, not bass heavy. wonder what it will sound like in a Swift. there cant be much difference, but you never know.

will wait for your clip to decide if I should go remus/magnaflow/custom

Sir,

I am not so sure, but somthing in therange of 75 K to 85 K I think.
But I did a lot - gave 15" back, changed Tyres etc. So exact price is not known.
My office settled the bill - call call for it and look it up. But it was all confused. Took a lot & returned back a bit etc. etc.

Great rims but I'm afraid 17" on a swift will foul up the suspension in no time.

Well, I had 17" alloys on my Petrol Swift & was not having suspension issues. Yes, the ride does become 'stiff' & it is like a magnifing glass in ones hand & with the 'pathetic' roads in Mumbai it can become a sore at times, but the preciseness of the handling is lovely.

I personally recommend the 16" to evey one.
I could not get a good Rim [from OZ] & matching tyres in that size, hence I had to use 17"

You are spot on - well almost.....

Around 150/- K [Chip + Rims + Tyres + Seats + Exhaust]
32 + 85 + 20 + 14

However, this excludes the ICE.
The Ice was in the 300 K range - I think. Not yet completed. Will let you know once it gets done. It should be one of the best I have installed. I think.
Hope it betters on my wifes i-10......

Thanks.

However, most of the work is done.

Now, I just will have to post the pictures of the finished car.
With the Alloys & Seats etc.

Will do so in a few days.
