Yes his swift has been on the roads for a long time now. Anyways, I suggest we should leave this thread to the discussion on the Baleno?

Ya, I haven't had the time to access net for ages now because of exams and MBA entrance. I hope this post clears it all?

long time !
Yup, its been a really long time. I never even dreamt he would let me drive his car ever. It came as a complete shock to me when he handed over the keys and asked me to get into the drivers seat. But I managed to stall it everytime because of the clutch. Took a while to get used to it. Just love that car and its really nice to see it on the roads because thats where it belongs!

The car needs some work cosmetically now. I have been in the car recently, it drives pretty well.

Needs to spruce up the interior and a good paint job. Looks like it needs a lady's attention.

!
Hey!! I didn't crack it.
My brother did, and it was replaced.
Two tires also got blisters on them and were paid for.

Stumpy seems to be having a problem with another rim+tire which i will see to once I am done with exams.

Time to update this thread. Got the clutch changed, but seems like something went terribly wrong again. After using the car for around 300kms the clutch went bust. I am suspecting gear box oil has leaked into the box again inspite of replacing all the seals. I think we have found out the culprit narrowing it down to some of the mods done to the gearbox when the GT ratios were put in. This time I am waiting to open the box and get some pics if possible of the goof up that happened.

Since I have been busy with traveling all over the country, work and some other issues I haven't had the time to get the car up and running again.

Shall be doing so, shortly. Currently the car is started a few times a week and dad takes it out for a small round around the neighborhood as I am mostly out of town.

Its a little disheartening to see the ghosts of the past come back to haunt you. But I guess, it was expected. Until further updates....

Well, I don't know what's "beautiful" about a Baleno, however, A CAR IS A CAR and TBHPians love cars!
Best of luck with the restore...get her pumping ASAP!!

You are right my friend! There is nothing beautiful about the Baleno. But then again, once I get married there are no guarantees my wife (who might be beautiful to me, but not to you) is going to remain like that forever. That doesn't mean I don't love her anymore does it? Like they say, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Thanks for the good wishes though!
