Yogi there is no point reworking the head, get a GTI twin cam head from soudi(junkyard) with ECM and wiring loom, fit it and go F1, the easiest way to getting the max juice for minimum money spent.

Could not find a GTi Engine/Head in Saudi, i have already searched for it.
Moreover, the braking power of the car is not sufficient, she doesnt stop now with basic mods, so i cant even think of further mods or engine swap :(.
First i need to sort out the brakes issue.
Spoken to N1 guys here, they should be having DBA brake parts soon!
As they have it i would be upgrading the brakes. then i will definitely look for some more performance mods.

Every thing dismantled, New rings, new valves and springs, gaskets, ball bearings will be replaced. head is given for Lathe work. Pistons seems to be fine.
all suspension to be overhauled, workshop guy was insisting on getting spacer at the rear, refused him to add those, as i dont want the rear end height to increase.
I dont think i will be able to get the pictures of WIP :(

I will be going to check the seats today, in India it costs appx 10K for a pair! While here its 1/4th of that and max would be 1/2 of the price that in Mumbai!
But sadly i have ruled out the idea for changing the seats! Dad drives the car when i am not India, such seats for a senior citizen will not be comfortable.

The seats are comfortable for sure, but getting in and getting out might become difficulty for a senior citizen, Recaros give good lumber support, nice for long drives.

Agreed they are comfortable! getting in and out will be very difficult , as it is esteem is very low, and my dad being taller than me, he said a no for it.

BTW got a set of Bi Xenons (philips) today, so the existing BOSCH HID will be put up for sale soon.

the 8V head with the carb can be run in FI(forced induction ) mode too ! you just need to do more work on it - it should produce at least 100 bhp if setup well (needs a little more hard work than the regular MPFI turbo setups running around - however i'm not sure if the tuners can help with this - it would mostly have to be a DIY project, as most i've come across don't believe turbos and carbs can work together!)

Turbos and carbs can work together, as they have been for decades.

Yes Turbos and carbs can work together, and there is a Turbo charged carb esteem done by RD Chinoy(may be) down south, and there is a thread for this DIY on redline GTI forum.
