What are these mats exactly called? Also what do you mean by a carpet shop? Any idea where I can source it from in Mumbai? I agree with deepclutch, the mats in the vista are pathetic & yes I didn't get them free. Paid almost 1K for the useless thing.

Could you post a pic of the mats after they are fitted in the car. Will give an idea to all how to cut them and how they look after fitment, Thanks

Wow great idea. I hope I can source it in beige to match the interiors.

Also tempted to use the art grass carpet to liven up the interiors and improve the green credentials of our oil burner.

Cool, I also want to replace them for my car for precisely the same reason as OP. I have seen something like this in some Indica cabs here.

KPZen has similar ones in grey in his Getz, and it looks really good. He's also got them cut really well, so they look snug and fit. You could check out his ownership thread for pics.

Great idea

The mats that you have got are fantastic, but need a wash maybe once every 45 days to remove dust hidden in the red woods

if one goes around , I am sure you'll will find even more cost effective solutions in the market.

This is really a good effort by Abhay. Just to add that the company manufacturing DuroSoft mats also made car mats using the same high grade polymer. Product are sold as DuroMat for various car models and probably cost less.

Duro Wipe matting made from special polymer are available in different colour & sizes
