Best Windshield Washer Fluid?

I think the best possible way is to dilute the solution into required quantity of de-mineralized/distilled water(battery water), which lacks all micro ingredients(good and bad).
This could prevent the mechanical/metal parts in contact with the mix to stay good in there life.

Tried Proklear. The first wipe itself did a wonderful job. I haven't seen my windshield as clean as this before. It’s a magic of only 5 ml for the entire tank. Quite economical and very effective. It seems to be very good on wipers as well.

From Flipkart. Rs.199 for 250ml. The product name is Proklear Prkwwc liquid vehicle glass cleaner.

Any of liquid dish washers like dettol or pril or vim mixed with water in ratio 1:10.

Are you sure you about the ratio? It means 100ml per litre of water!
I have also used pril liquid, about 5-6 ml in a litre of water and that works OK.
But I feel that products formulated for this specific purpose should work better.
Recently, I got MGA branded sachets costing Rs 15 each, which are working fine.

I use Collin with some old expired shampoo. Mix these well with water.
Not much quantity needed as well.

Cheap and gives a clean swipe to the glass. Really happy with it.

Bought a Proklear windscreen washing fluid off Flipkart to try it. Have always used Sonax which is wonderful. Will report how it works.

Hello everyone !!

I use Sonax Clear View Windshield Washer Concentrate since the last 1 year. I think its is already discussed in the thread earlier.
I add 15-20ml of concentrate to 2 L of water (capacity of windshield water reservoir in Honda City 2014). I cleans the windshield very well and the need of repeated wipes is not necessary and it removes thick layers of dirt/dust on the windshield with ease and no marks are left behind.

The only issue which I feel, is that when driving and the fluid is released/sprayed onto the windshield, the areas that don't get wiped get covered with foam and later that mixes with the dirt and those parts become hard to see through.

Cost: around Rs.400/- per 250ml bottle

I started using the PROKLEAR™ WWC Windshield Wash Additive Concentrate from last week and it does a good job of cleaning the windshield. But now there's a squeaking noise at times when I use the wiper during rains. Never had this issue before. Wondering if cleaning with the additive is the reason. Any one else faced this issue ? The blades are new and looks ok.

I am using Proklear since 3 weeks, but haven't faced this issue. Try cleaning the wiper blades manually.

It might just be the fact that all grease/oil on your windshield has been wiped clean. So clean that it is now "Squeaky clean"

On a side note, I've had an amazing experience with Proklear's WWC.
I have 4 cars, I have atleast 10 litres of WWC pre-mixed with demineralized water lying in storage at any given time. The guy who washes my cars uses only this to top up any windshield fluid reservoirs going empty.

I use demineralised water mainly because I have an easy cheap source for it and I don't want calcium deposits etc. messing up the pump or the thin pipes leading to the nozzles.
I've used it with tap water as well and visually there is no noticeable difference in effectiveness.
I highly recommend this product to all BHPians.

Even i am using the Proklear windshield wash additive and facing the same squeaking problem since the first month of usage

. Even tried cleaning the wiper blades manually several times but the same squeaking noise persisted. I have filled the Proklear in a spray bottle and every morning i spray and clean the glass manually. The squeaking noise does irritate a lot while driving therefore i am back to normal water for the washer fluid fill up.

Same here Aditya. I have gone back to using normal water as well. May be it's a case of "squeaky clean" as dumdum mentioned

Just to add, I had this noise coming only from the front wipers. I used the liquid for the rear one too, but didn't observe this noise with that. Probably the quality of wiper blades/pressure on glass matters.
