Oh!!! Ok, that clarifies

That black styling on the engine case (probably copied from HD) goes well & is of more practical. The absence of kicker would've been a good kick though!!!

re: Royal Enfield TBTS 500 unveiled EDIT Now Launched

Too much similarity to the Thunderbird (Thunderbird is a great bike so no offense meant) and a Wannabe cruiser styling, me no likey. IMO The should have revamped the design similar to the Harley 883 Iron to give in a mean and low an well propotioned look. Good to see a rear disc brake though

re: Royal Enfield TBTS 500 unveiled EDIT Now Launched

Why the hell is RE trying to be something that it is not. When they launched the CL500, i thought that they have fired their stupid guy at the design table and put someone who knows something about motorcycle design. But unfortunately the guy just was on a long leave and came back to work and messed everything up. I dig the black treatment to the engine, but rest looks really stupid. At-least try copying some designs from the internet fools. They are disrespecting us bikers by giving 27 odd PS from a 500cc mill, as if that was not enough, they had had to do this. Guys in RE should visit the thread where a guy made a HD fat-boy from scratch and take some design lessons from him. Shame on you RE, shame on you.

Gansan, all new Enfields have chain on the right hand side.

Thank God, they have not made a mess like CL 350 / CL 500 by giving the TBTS 350 / TBTS 500 same looks.

I concur, I feel the front wheel and back wheel stance and style are not in sync.

Any idea if the O2 sensor is present on TBTS 500? or is it the same as C5?

I doubt if people like ASM etc would know such details before hand.

+1. Had the exact same feel when I first saw this. Was bit confused too if it looks good or not than the current TBTS. It does look good in a different way.

True. And Chrome grab handle would have been nice.

or an ALL BLACK series would have been good instead of mix of Chrome+Black+Alloy+...

Looks good enough to me. The front seat also looks a lot lower than what you would expect from enfield. Anyone got any clues on how much this has been lowered?

re: Royal Enfield TBTS 500 unveiled EDIT Now Launched

Not a looker!! Front forks should have been kicked out more, and sigh!! that headlight looks totally out of place! I feel even the foot rests should have been set up front to give the bike a more, real world cruiser look.

Seriously looks like a half boiled cruiser!! leave it on the stove and cook it fully RE!!

re: Royal Enfield TBTS 500 unveiled EDIT Now Launched

This seems to be a very good cruiser hopefully they have taken care of all the niggles that one usually associated with RE. Some how felt that there is lot of gap between the head light and the instrument console. The head light stays look a bit out of place when compare d to the rest of bike

Wow that sure looks like one hell of a beast waiting to be unleashed. Kudos to RE for adding the rear disk break.
Looking forward to its launch and is definetly added to my list of things to own.

Cheers RE.
