Well, I got a call from HMSI, atleast that is what he told me.
The call was from +911246782000.

Well, Trust me dude. if there is one thing I have understood about honda. Its that their dealers are kept out of the loop.
When I went to book my bike, they said that there is a Repsol Honda CBR250R coming, along with tri-tone. The dealer is the only guy who has claimed this so far...

27th Feb also coincides with the article on motoroids about the new CBR. In any case, the dealer has said 10 days from factory to showroom. We are on day 2. Guess we will know on 7th March

Are these the new color tones of the 2012 model?

The Repsol Honda is too tempting to look at, hopefully the engine map tune up makes the bike a bit more smarter to match with its looks.
Wish it does not go down as the Repsol Honda Unicorn :(

Please refer to post 25 on this same thread in the same page. Details of the ECU remap and other details of the upgrade is given by Furebo!! And if you meant if there is any remap specific to Repsol, well that is yet to be seen as the info was provided by one single dealer about the Repsol being released.

re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

Guys, Repsol Honda is NOT Confirmed.
So far, Saphire Honda bannerghatta road is the only showroom that thinks Repsol Color is launching.
IF they were launching this colour (in this batch atleast), they would have announced it.

In all its likelyhood Repsol will be just a paint scheme, that is, if at all, they are launching it.

The motoroid source says that Honda is planning to launch new colors, so it may be a surprise?

re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

IMPORTANT UPDATE! (Source)

Quote:
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has added another shade to its CBR250R, named Pearl Heron Blue.

The CBR250R comes in two variants – standard and C-ABS. The existing two-tone colours are priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (standard) and Rs 1.69 lakh (C-ABS),

while the new tri-colour option comes at Rs 1.45 lakh (standard) and Rs 1.70 lakh (C-ABS).

The new CBR250R will be available at all Honda Exclusive Authorized Dealerships starting early March, 2012.
According to ACI, Honda is JUST adding the new Tri-tone color, no update/facelift etc was mentioned!

Of what I understand ACI is a quite reliable source when it come to launch information and changes to the product.

So guys was the info on the facelift a SCAM? OR Are the 2012 changes real?

Please update if you'll have any contradictory information!

EDIT:

The statement below was issued by N.K. Rattan (Vice President –Sales, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.)

Quote:
"The CBR 250R remained the most awarded bike in 2011!

Now, continuing this legacy in 2012, we have enhanced the aesthetic appeal of CBR 250R,

and introduced the new Pearl Heron Blue tri-colour to cater to expectations of young Indians”
Alas, reading the above statement I can surely say that it was only a color that Honda planned to launch!

Damn! I was looking forward to the ECU remap.
By the way, ECU Remap could also be due to the change in the oil filter. Just a speculation, since it will alter the bike intake characteristics.

Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

I got a little new article that says Honda has infact launched the new Tri-Colour scheme.
Honda launches striking new Tri-colour CBR 250R| Zigwheels.com

So, thankfully, they are NOT waiting for the budget announcement or anything.

Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

The photo of the Repsol edition doesn't seem genuine, as the Repsol colours are Orange and Black, not Orange and Blue, as shown in the pic. Also, the bike is missing the Honda logo on the tank, so it's probably just a paint scheme somebody thought of. Also, the US and Europe versions of the CBR 250R remain unchanged.I think if there were any Repsol editions, they would have been confirmed for Europe and US as well.

Yup. I think it's true that HMSI has already the launched the pearl heron blue color. If you check out their website, the list shows that particular color in place of the silver one which was available before. Does it mean that the silver has been discontinued?
