Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

Greetings,

Team BHP brethren, its been a long time since I posted anything, however today seems to be the perfect excuse to make an exception. Picked up a 2012 Tri-Color C-ABS today and feel like its definitely been worth the wait. Been riding around since afternoon and have managed to do about 35 kms so far.

Moderators please aprove/feel free to move to a suitale thread is not applicable here.

Cheers!

Congrats, that color scheme does look nice indeed. Is the blue metallic or solid ?
I still dig the silver option they just discontinued.

PS : is the Nano yours too ? The bike and the car, both cost roughly similar !

Thanks a ton for posting this pic!

Now I'm sure I made the right choice by choosing the HRC, The red does look hideous when compared to the new shade!

And I thought it was the other way round and hence posted it

Well, jokes apart, I think they are equally good and to each his own choice.

Blue is metallic. In fact, it is a bit more metallic than usual.
I saw a tri color in the yard of one of the Honda Showrooms on Godbhundher Road, Thane.
I have decided to stick with the Tri Colour after seeing it. Only thing is, Im not sure if the graphics is below the clear coat or above it ( I think it is above clear coat).

Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

You know I am of the belief that looks are subjective, originally I had booked the Red but did not pick it up cause I wanted to check out the options, no dis-respect to anyone however the character of the bike felt just right for me despite testing the Classic 500 and the Duke (both good in their own respect, have owned a 350 Machismo earlier).

The blue is metallic alright and the paint job looks top notch.

Yup good observation on the Nano...booked one initially and got delivery in the first lot cause I wanted to buy into the Indian attempt at ingenuity and engineering and I can tell you as a city car I still can't fault it except maybe the lack of power steering...having sid that it complements the JDM 7th gen Civen VTI-S that I have cause then I don't have to take it on bad roads or while doin chores (the roads in GGN and the GC, or lack thereof, of the Civic can be difficult)

Will try and keep everyone posted on my experience as I go along!!!

Proud to be a CBR owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

My Honda dealer (Saphire Honda, Bangalore) informed me that my bike will take additional 10-15 days to deliver. According to them I was the booking #1. So my guess is, it would take them additional 15 days to even get hold of tri-colour.
They claim that they have only one bike, which is the display bike.
Did anyone in bangalore get delivery of their bikes yet.
One thing I hate is the "unpremium" feel Honda gives you. You are buying the most expensive bike they sell in that showroom, yet you get a feeling that you are buying a second hand activa from them on discount.

Given a choice, I would rather avoid dealing with them again.

Re: Honda CBR250R 2012 (Facelift) EDIT: Early March launch + price-hike!

Hi allajunaki

I've seen your posts on X-BHP too if I am not mistaken!! I am a relatively new member there and despite registering could not post on there, I guess the admin/mods have to give permission etc. Thanks for acknowledging my CBR Tri-Color on that forum. Even the other Honda dealer in GGN does not have the Tri-Color, they claim it'll be here by the end of the month.
Also am sorry to hear about your experience with the dealer.

Here's a shout out to Ganpati Honda. Amazing experience with them, very helpful so far, made me feel very comfortable with the process, checked and inspecte the bike, showed me the delivery documents etc. from the factory. I had called them to give them a heads up that I want to come in for the paperwork. I went to do the paperwork and checked how long with the PDI etc take and much to my delight they had finished it and said they could deliver the bike now I had gone alone and they were curteuos enough to have somebody drive my car back while I rode the bike home, oh another thing I did'nt even have a helmet so beleive you me they actually escorted me to a helmet store so that i could check out what i wanted and when I said that the helmet store did not have anything that I wanted. However they at their dealership had an LS-2 that seemed like the right choice escorted be back to the showroom, picked the LS-2 and came back home. Now if this isn't extra-ordinary customer delight Dunno what is ...I just hope they continue in the same vein cause they definitly have a promotor in me.

^^Congrats for you CBR bro.

Do post few more pics of your machine. What kind of money you paid for the LS-2?

I saw few helmet displayed at dealership here in Ghaziabad, those look good but I didn't notice those being LS-2.

The new shade does look GOOD! Has the quality improved in 2012 versions?
