Re: Mahindra Mojo - First bike delivered in India

I spoke with their customer care. The nearest dealer to Noida, located in Okhla does not stock Mojo and it would be a while before they start selling and servicing Mojo from this outlet.
All the others in Delhi NCR are quite far from my place (Greater Noida). I don't see a point from post sales pov to go for Mojo as the service outlets are quite far from my place.
Bajaj and Honda are close by, so servicing would not be an issue.

When Mojo was initially launched in 4 cities, people who fell in love with the bike came from as far as 500kms to buy the bike. (Kerala to Bangalore, Hyderabad to Bangalore etc)
Subsequently for servicing also they traveled long distances, which I might not have done but they did. Maybe because their heart won over their brain. I am not suggesting you to do the same, but I am just saying that if your heart is in for it then there is nothing that stops you from going for it, no matter what.

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First bike delivered in India

Hi Everyone,
I booked my bike today with Alfa motors Bangalore. I insisted on one thing that I need a 2017 manufactured bike. They promised me that the first 2017 bike will be delivered to me.
Does anyone has information on when the ABS version will be made available.
Also kindly let me know how If anyone here is part of Mojo whatsapp group in Bangalore.

Congratulations on booking the Mojo. No one has any clear idea on ABS but it should be out by 2018 as per Govt. mandate. I guess almost all owners are part of the Tribe here including me. You will also become a part of it once you get your bike. Ask your SA to add you to the Tribe. If your SA delays then feel free to PM me.

~Cheers

Re: Mahindra Mojo - First bike delivered in India

I got an email from the dealership stating that 2017 manufacturing models can be delivered only after the current financial year ends (mostly march or apr 2017). Is this the case?

Is it worth to wait or can I go ahead with the current model.

Would like to understand why the MOJO?

Especially when there is a Dominar 400 available now that too with ABS?

Mate given that you have test rode the Bajaj Dominar 400 you can recommend it, have you test rode the Mahindra Mojo as yet?

I would like to understand about Mahindra Mojo from you?(if at all you have taken it for a ride)

If Alfa motors is in Domlur, then Farhan will be able to answer your question on when the ABS model will be sold. He's a nice guy and a very passionate rider.
They recently rode to Jaipur/Rajasthan with a bunch of Mojos. The whole even was organised by Mahindra.

I am not sure how this works but I somehow smell a rat.
Talk to them saying you will postpone your booking till you get a 2017 model. They might be trying to clear their stocks.
If they still are pushing you, ask them for a discount on the 2016 model and reap the benefits from that.

Am not recommending anything.

Just wanted to understand why the MOJO not the Dominar?

It's a question NOT a recommendation

Mate you didn't get my question, I just mentioned that having test rode the Bajaj Dominar you can recommend it (given your enthusiasm for Bajaj motorcycles). Then again my question is very simple, Have you TEST RODE the MOJO as yet?

And didn't you get that "I am NOT recommending anything"?

I just want to understand "Why Not the Dominar with ABS "? And by the way, the question was addressed to someone else in the first place

Note- Please refrain from making personal jibes.

I'd suggest you to wait if you can. As Coplay said, just tell them that you are going to wait for 2017 manufactured bike and your're in no hurry. Then see what they have to say to that. Also I don't think there will be any change from current model to 2017 model, so if you are not willing to wait then go ahead and book one, be sure to take long test ride before going ahead. ABS might come with 2018 models only (not really sure).

Oh well its confusing to see the one who says not to take personal jibes making this statement.

Anyways it would be interesting to know why Mojo over the Dominar. It would be nice to see comments from those who have owned Mojo.

until you decided to take things personally.

And here I was specifically interested to know the reason from someone who has owned NONE of the two.
