Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

The pricing is just unbelievable. Both the bikes look gorgeous in person, the touch and feel are superb.

Super excited to ride the Speed 400 on the 11th of this month. Scrambler 400 X arrives in October, and we can expect a killer pricing strategy for that one too.

HD X440 could be dead on arrival because of this.

Haha. Correct. A twin cyl is a worthy upgrade if you currently have a single cyl ~25 bhp bike like the CBR. But personally, having used it for over 11 years and now looking at this mouth watering price of a premium brand entry level bike with 40 bhp and with a limited budget of 3L, I'm having a mild itch to upgrade. But il still wait for some months for proper initial ownership reviews to get an idea about the quality and then finalize.

Exactly at what time did you book? Reason for this ask is: I've booked at 4:13PM and I didn't notice the pre-booking number. Curious to know if I've made it into first 10k bookings.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

Fantastic pricing. Almost unbelievable going by the current market trend of overpricing products. But they should've launched the Scrambler version too, not sure why the delay since they did showcase both the production ready models during their global launch. Although I am very tempted at the current pricing, I would wait till the 400X pricing is launched and will probably book it if it is also well priced. Also by that time we should have quite a few Speed 400s on the road which should give us good insights about how the platform performs in real world conditions and the service/spare costs. Kudos to the entire Bajaj-Triumph team

Yeah I went ahead and pre booked a black Scrambler. I’ve been sitting on the fence for a while and just thought I’d see what happens. Going by what you said I think I’m under 7000 too. My only reservation is the current state of after sales in Bangalore as the only booking option was Keerthi. Let’s see

Congrats on your booking. Yes, Red looks gorgeous on this bike. The price with these specs and quality is mouthwatering. Sadly, however, here in Uttar Pradesh, we don't have any Triumph dealer in whole of the state! Should I book from any nearby state and get it on temporary registration! Did the same for car 5 years ago, when the chosen color was not available with city dealers . Took it from Delhi.

Booked a scrambler khaki green and number is below 5000 mark, if that is the sequence triumph is following. Fingers crossed for pricing here. Lets hope for the best and that it does not have Bajaj traits of initial niggles in the first lot

Look at your booking id. It’ll begin with 20230705 (year month date) followed by a series of numbers. At least that’s what I think it is as that’s what mine says. If that’s what it is then I’m in the 6000s and I only booked a few minutes ago so you’re probably well within. If that’s the way one figures it out, of course. I could be entirely wrong.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

I have booked SPEED 400 just now. I was both excited and nervous. I am not sure if my booking falls under the first 10k customers.
The booking ID is 20230705006733. So I am assuming the first 4 digits are years, the subsequent two digits are months, then day and lastly, me being hopeful, I am assuming last 4 digits are no of bookings.

Congrats, and yes, I think the last 4 digits are the booking number.

Congrats to you too, and going by what you say, I'd guess the booking numbers are for both the Speed and Scrambler together. Btw I've booked the bike in Ahmedabad, which seems to have just one Triumph dealer.

It looks like there is a decent amount of response, but not a mad rush to book.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

I think Bajaj does not have the capacity to run Both the speed400 and scram 400 in full to meet the demands. They've taken the safe route by going the speed400 first as the demand clearly was more for scram400. Those who want the scram will wait it out and those on the fence who don't have the patience will bite the bullet and book the speed400. Either way, it's a win-win for Bajaj-Triumph.

Another valid reason to delay the Scram400 could be to wait for the launch of RE 450 Scram and Himalayan. I think they will undercut the scram too like how they killed Hero-Harley.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

Booked a Speed 400 in Carnival Red/Phantom Black.
Booking number is around the 6400 mark.
This is going to take away sales from RE and Honda.

I booked a few days back and if what you indicated is true. My booking number is 2432. In any case, even at 2.33, it is fantastic pricing.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X unveiled

After last year's 'Fastest Finger First' for Scorpio-N and succeeding to come with 1st 25000, tried to book Speed 400 today and got 6998 as the last 4 digit which I hope is the booking sequence!

That's an excellent catch & logically make sense too. Kudos. I have done my booking on 28/June for Speed 400 and my booking stands at 428 in the queue .

I'm excited & at the same time little worried too since it's a newly baked product which I never put my money in the past.

Congratulations to all who had booked this awesome machine
