When I got my quotation on 3rd Aug it was mentioned as "In case of cancellation, advance payments if any would be refunded within 7 days without interest, after deduction of cancellation charges" but the SA said they would not charge anything. The wording is from the quote they make for much bigger bikes where they do charge for cancellation.

I told them I want the quote to be amended before I pay them 25k next week. He said they can do that and they seem to have done it with a minor typo now.

To summarise, yes it is completely refundable according to the senior sales guy at Triumph Pune.

This is a question for all East Bangalore folks who have pre-booked the S400. Has anyone tried to convert the booking to Khivraj Triumph, as the current booking would be with Keerthi?

Today I have done 30min test ride of this wonderful machine & covered about 7-8km which includes bumper to bumper traffic & a short open stretch, my observations are below. For everyones reference, currently I own a Yamaha FZ250 2019 model with less 7000KM on the odo, mostly used for very short city runs. I have done only 3 long rides during my entire ownership covering not more than 400KM round trip.

Positives:

• It looked awesome
• Got an excellent power, felt like riding RE interceptor during my entire ride
• Fit & Finish is excellent, all components are made out of good quality materials
• Compact Machine, short riders will really appreciate
• Seat is very comfortable
• Got good amount of space for Pillion rider & it can be a good family bike
• Ergonomics are spot on, it can be your daily ride
• Clutch action is light
• Breaks are excellent & predictable
• Got comfortable with the bike in no time
• Exhaust note was likable

Negatives

• Heat management could have been definitely much better. I felt the heat during my entire ride, mainly while waiting at the signals, a proper footwear is must
• Looked very compact than what I expected
• Sensitive to throttle inputs, I felt bit aggressive
• Gear shifting was not very smooth although it never missed the gear, the test ride bike had less than 200km on the odo, I believe gear shifting might get better over the time
• Horn is mediocre

Overall had a wonderful experience, definitely it can be a very good option for people who wants to upgrade from 150-200cc segment. I'm in a dilemma now whether to replace my sparingly used FZ250 with this bike or use my current ride for few more years before looking for replacement, I may get this bike in next 2 weeks if I hold my current pre-booking.

The cashless insurance option quoted to me by my usual agent was 20k. This before asking for discount. Plus delivery/documentation charges are illegal. If they're stubborn, we have no option. For my Duke 390, I mailed KTM/Bajaj and got it reversed. This was years ago, Gen 1 Duke 390.

I recently got a Wagon R delivered. No such charges from Maruti either. Most of these things are done online now, in my state atleast, so the usual excuse of 'greasing official's palms' doesn't hold anymore.

For the folks in Bangalore, Keerthi Triumph has received the bikes and the test rides have started. The showroom was packed with people and the rest rides were happening in the bumper to bumper traffic. I sat on the idle test ride bike and I could feel the heat on my legs, which I guess is expected.

I called Keerthi a while back, and it seems we can't transfer the booking, even if you do it will be considered as a new booking and you will lose the advantage. My booking number is in the 9xx , so he said I can expect a call back next month. Right now they have only contacted the first 100 customers.

I visited Khivraj Triumph today around 7:15 PM and they were almost close for the day (even switched off most of the lights). Surprisingly the sales person was kind enough, permitted me inside , switched on all lights and allowed to check the bikes in display.

I felt the bike is bit smaller in size (I’m owning RE Electra) and in a confusion whether to go ahead with my booking or choose RE interceptor 650. I’m waiting for test ride and planning to take final decision.

I’m just 5.9 feet and weigh 90 kgs. May be it’s my perception the bike is small provided that I’m comparing it with my RE Electra. I’m planning to visit the showroom today and will do a detailed check.

Fit and finish of this bike seems to be in top notch quality. I liked the exhaust note as well (unable to upload the file due to some issues)

I could not find this information anywhere.
The only dealership at Kolkata which caters for these states could not provide any information either.

I had the same thoughts in mind when I test rode the bike yesterday at Keerthi Triumph. The odo had clocked just 157 kms. I didn't worry much about the same and assumed to be normal since I am riding a bike with a gap of close to 15 years and my last bike was a 84 model bullet CI engine. But good to hear this perspectives from another fellow enthusiast.

Hello All,

I am just coming back from a test ride of 6 kms or so.

1. Solid feeling holding the handlebar.
2. Terrific sounding exhaust through out the ride, with the helmet on, gives you the big bike feeling. Really inspires confidence listening to it.
3. Slightly weird but loud enough horn.
4. Terrifically nimble, I enjoyed my ride on a relatively empty Sunday morning traffic. It will set all the caged middle aged gentlemen a little free
5. Reasonablly good low end torque is available. 5th gear at 20kmph is a bit of a struggle, 4th gear at 20kmph is doable, 3rd gear at more or less all speeds is easily doable. It also means clutch less riding needing very little gear change.
6. A great city bike at a good price point. Bajaj and/or partners are truly innovators and disruptors, for the indian market, right from KB125 to Pulsars to Dukes to now this.i look forward to a multi cylinder offering.
