1st Service -Rs.320/- for change of oil. I had to pay only Rs.190 for my TVS Jive (bike) for oil change in the first service? Does this mean that Access need more quantity of oil than of a Bike?
Yeah, it was Rs 320 for both engine oil and gear oil. I guess the Access uses more oil , but I need to check the bill.

I guess so! We booked a red one at the same showroom, we'd checked out the basheerbagh & kukatpally side one too but both quoted a waiting period of over 1 1/2 months. Yes, the price rose 350 over what was quoted a week before booking it.

"i am looking at a decent speed of 70-80 and anything less than that
would be inconvenient for me and i like the honda dio's capabilities in this
aspect the the pillion seating position is weird and the seat is very steelpy sloped and i cant be seated in a same position for long time hence i cancelled it from my list.

Wego's rated top speed is 61KMPH ( As per overdrive's detailed test drive results which is put on wego's website ) and honda's and Suzuki's can atleast make 80 kmph. Will settle for either of these."

Something wrong here...I regularly ride the Wego above the 80 km mark.

Wego finally hits Hyd roads

I could spot two new Wegos in the TVS showroom today, and on inquiry was told that the first stock arrived a few days ago.

The scooter does look good from all angles, and the sharp mudguard in the front looks far better than the one in the Access. I believe it costs around Rs 53.5 K, about the same as the Activa and Access.

I wish it were there 2 months ago so that I could have evaluated it while buying a scooter. Not that I regret buying the Access, but I'd have had one more option.

Did the Dio and Activa (the 100cc version) have the same engines? Or is the Dio engine tuned? I am curious since I feel the Dio more peppier as compared to the Activa.

For sure they had the same engine & transmission, not sure whether they were differently tuned. The light weight fiber body (10 kgs lesser) & the sportier tires must be the reason for the peppiness !

I found the Dio lesser stable at 60 kmph as compared to the Activa during the test rides. You are right in the peppiness factor, however Dio is lesser CC (7 cc less than Activa). Kerb weight of Activa is 109 kgs, does it mean that Dio weighs 99 kgs? I doubt that.

BTW do the Honda scooters now come BSIV compliant?

When i picked up a Dio, it was around 10 kgs lesser But that was 8 years ago, dont remember the actual details :( I guess you should get the emission & weight details on the Honda website !

The RC Card says that the "unladen weight" of my Dio is 96kg.

True. Also the tyres of my Dio are also really bad. Might soon upgrade the tyres and the headlights which are really weak on the highways.

I actually felt that it was the other way round ! However, on doing a check here - Honda Dio Scooter Review - Honda Dio India - Honda Dio Technical Specifications and here Honda Activa Scooter Review - Honda Activa India - Honda Activa Technical Specifications , it seems that they share the same engine and in that case, since the Dio is lighter, power to weight ratio should be slightly better !

i bought myself a Wego, and in comparison to either the Honda Activa or Dio, here's what's the deal.

Comparing the Activa to the Dio, The Activa has a far better ride, and is more planted, that 10kgs, I guess keep it planted on the roads, but the Dio is far more agile. Now as for the Wego, I feel it has the best of both worlds.

It handles well, The Body Balance Tech (they diddled with the center of gravity on the bike)., really cuts the wobble one would have while having a pillion rider. The suspension is far superior to both Hondas, since the Wego has telescopic front, and hydraulic dampers in the back. So trust me it takes bumps with ease. The 110cc engine has good torque, but the power wears out as you go to higher speeds. Large 12' inch tyres with alloys both front and back are a nice touch.

The Wego falls short on top speed when compared to the Hondas, and the Activa has a slightly larger boot space, but its not much of a difference. It would be nice if TVS introduces disc brakes for the Wego on the front, since the Honda Aviator already has them.

Just go for a Test Drive for the Wego, you'll know the difference instantly.

Congrats on your Wego! Which color did you buy?

Crisp comparison with Activa and Dio. Now that the competition is providing telescopic front suspension, hope Honda wakes up and changes the leading link suspensions soon.

What was the on road price?
