Thats a typical jawa mechanic.

Haha well congrats on your new ride and as the saying goes enjoy maadi.
Well was laughing remebering this mechanic for jawa bikes in coorg. He is excellent and at one point of time he was super busy due to the number of yezdis in coorg. But as the saying goes things have to move on people sold their bikes and started buying splendour and his work has kinda eased. He is excellent but lazy and loves his regular dose of country liquor. Watching him at work is too good. Once he is doing something on a bike and then he takes theowner of the bike for a ride etc etc. Get to watch him a lot as he is next to my regular jeep electrics guy and people who own one will know the jeeps starter keeps getting kinda crazy.
Well you will love your bike but just have patience when its a yezdi. It will help a lot

Excellent bike I must say. Lot of my friends and relatives used to have a roadking. It is a very powerful bike and I just love the sound of the machine. Congratulations.....cheers:

For the repairs get in touch with a guy called Mohan (Mohan garage) near VV puram circle. This guy is the best guy in town for Yezdi, or atleast was. I guess the last time I saw his shop was about 5 or 6 years back, I am not sure if he still has the shop. PM me for directions to his shop.

Killer mate! Hey, I plan to get my exhaust painted... do you know if it'll cause any harm to either the pipe or the paint...?

Congratulations on that!
2 Stroke bliss, it is. At the least, I call it that. cant get the same or similar pleasure on any other street bike!
Read that you want to get it painted & chrome plated, While getting it chrome plated make sure that you get chrome, will cost you a tonne & will last, get it done on low current & at a company not at a sily workshop, the work shop guys don't maintain the electrolyte conc. The mechanics get something called nickel done coz its faster and cheaper but wont last.
you can check out the threads of the yezdi club group on orkut, there are many guys from banglore and will help'

I find that its hard to maintain. the pipes getting scratched, then the paint comes off and makes it look pathetic.
Nothing would happen to the pipes, jawa's & enfields used by military were painted green, even the exhausts, the paint can develop boils if not done properly later on.
If had to choose I'd have the chrome, the chrome add's to the personality of the bike. Painted exhausts and bend pipes give a weird look to it, i feel. All depends of how one likes his bikes to look though
