Last few days I'd been deciding to get back to owning another RE soon as i get rid of my 1 year old Zma. I have been reading everything I could find on the Electra, Lb 500 & the TSTB. Just couldn't come to a decision.

But Boy, if this Classic 500 comes out soon, I'm going for it with my eyes closed. Even if it's priced above 2Lac. I'll beg, borrow, steal & basically sell my kidneys. I won't even require a Test ride.

This is the best product that RE have ever come up with- Classic Looks with modern reliability & Bullet character. Hope the "Cast-IronThump" is recreated...

It even reminds me of the new Triumph Bonnieville- my absolute dream bike..

I HAVE to own this- RE are u listening???

Its an awesome looking one with 18 incher. Hmmm, even I think second Sankar with future tech such as EFI and UCE it would not be possible to sell below 2 lakhs in India...

I've been checking up the INTERMOT Motorcycle show since last night. Royal Enfield is just not listed as one of the Exhibitors. It's really wierd!

Maybe it'll come on by tomorrow since the show started today.

Sankar

Another reason why I hate RE and the bullet. They have the technology to produce better bikes they just dont want to give anything to India. Everything for export only.

We should boycott RE until they give us the better bikes in India first!

As much as I hate RE amd bullets if they bring this classic model to India, you will see me owing-riding one of them

it is typical of RE
another eg. is the electra 500 which is manufactured only for export markets.
the bike was tested on the Himalayan Odyssey last year.
we were told the nos. dont add up, so they dont sell them here in INDIA.

wow!
already going weak in knees.... :-) looks too hot.
Looking at the images, there seems to be considerable improvement in quality.
It sure will be expensive, but won't mind if they got rid of the typical bullet quality problems.

The new Classic shud make a die hard Bull follower feel like god. Wish RE brings it here soon and not like the LB 500 which they got here 2 yrs after launching it abroad. Too good RE now make our dream true by launching it here soon.

This bike would definitely create a re-revolution. Bullet would always remain a classic no matter which side the brakes feature. How many bike manufacturers still manufacture a single stroke engine, not many right?

Quite true If they say they are going fully classic, then they should bring back the classic controls. We can handle it.

Ok now the RE website has this link which says Unveiling of a Classic Intermot 2008, Welcome to Royal Enfield Motorcycles | Motorcycle India so that says it all the hype all is ment for the Foreign market and not for us Poor Indians, Sad real sad that even tho the CL500 is made in India still we dont have a chance to buy it. Does anyone have any idea that if we pay in $ does RE sell it here?

Beautiful bike. Finally enfield have realised their core values and putting out a bike that looks like true bullet.

Their experiments with Harley style modern cruisers was terrible.
