First and it was the Best Suzuki Shogun(1998 ,52500 Rs On Road ) i forced my parents for this bike,it took 3 months for me to convince them for this bike,My Dad want me to go for Hero Honda Splendor but some how managed to convince them.In the process of conversion from Splendor to Shogun even my Mom started loving Shogun and she know what is the Bhp of Shogun and other details

I Still remember the day on which i got delivery of the bike it was 10 th June 1998 and i insisted the dealer that i will take delivery of the bike from godown,so we took the delivery from Bhiwandi godown, and in First week only i completed 950Km and time for the First service.

But on 7th Sept. 2005 my Bike got stolen from our buliding compound it was the worst day i cried like anything, i was in deep shock for next few days, that was the attachment with her.

Shogun was really THE BOSS of Indian Road.

Nice to see people who started off with Hero Puch. My parents got me one in '94 and I enjoyed it for nearly 7 years and in 2001 bought a Bajaj Caliber.

my first bike was RX100(1994) purchased as second hand on 10th nov1998(Rs 26k)and sold in 2001.my parents and my brothers r amazed why i am decided on a second hand bike instead of new one.Because at that time Rx 100 is not available for sale.If i force them they will surely purchase a brand new RX135 for me cos at that time rs 10-12k bike financing scheme is lot more easier then shelling out total 26k rs in hard cash.

May be the imported ones were different in terms of reliability. I've to admit that even mine didn't have issues with respect to power. It said 4.15 bhp, but the initial acceleration made you feel as if it was much more. Come to think of it, I did enjoy racing with the big boys in congested streets where the initial surge of the HP was really kickass.

On the flipside, my frequent interactions with the service staff allowed me insights into some interesting things which would otherwise be elusive to a normal teenager: I learnt about the harsh realities of our complex social system from the point of view of the head-mechanic of the HP dealership. I learnt of issues he is having with his girl, the perils of a muslim boy having an affair with a hindu girl and what not.

On the other hand, I also learnt practical workings of a two stroke engine much before it was taught to me in the engg. course. And, I learnt with passionate involvement. After all, it was my own bike's engine which as being dismantled and re-assembled in front of my eyes.

The only other time I started getting a flavor of such experience was with my Tata Safari. Expectedly, I promptly sold it off.

I too have fond memories of this bike. One of my closest buddies had this one. Awesome acceleration man, and along with that exhaust note, man it was a delight.

My first motored two wheeler was Bajaj Cub. My dad bought it in 1986 and became mine in 1994 when i was doing my 10th class. It had only three gears. Used to get Rs 100 from dad for fuel but will fill for Rs 60 and the rest was for my expenses. And that used to last for a week. A liter petrol was around Rs 18 then.

My second two wheeler was Vespa Select(1995) and third was hero Honda CBZ(2000).

My first bike was a Yamaha RXG. Later removed the stickers and painted it to look like RX135. Sold it off and got a Yamaha RX135 5 Speed which I still have.

My first Vehicle was a Bajaj Sunny (1994), then upgraded to a second hand RX-100 in 1998 after pestering my mom & dad for almost 3 months who were going to buy a HH Splendour. The RX was totally refurbished in 2007 & still loving her (Pic Attached), also got myself a P-150 in 2005 which is also Running Strong.

cheers:
