Long time!

I like your riding shoes, they are ankle length and from the looks of it, should be comfy. Any info on them would be appreciated

It appears as one-way to me too.

This was one of my choices apart from A*, Sidi, Gaerne and Dainese. But i had doubts on the sizing. A friend of mine had bought the Sidi's and our sizes matched. Tried them on, liked them and picked up the Sidi's.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Ownership experience

ok here it is. After loads of research and over a million youtube views i finally settled on the Leo Vince and all that research really paid. Leo Vince "One" Carbon Fibre. Nice bassy tone, not unnecessarily loud and comes with a DB killer which can be removed for those who really like to shatter eardrums. Now lighter by over 6 kgs ( which means i can stop my diet now ) the exhaust is a real piece of art. Also got my new air filter. Its a Simota. Not as popular as a K&N but was told performs better than it.

Ok now for the imp question "Is there any difference in power"?

The answer is YES. and a resounding yes at that one. The air filter and the exhaust are possibly the most restrictive bits on the Ninja and once you work on that the difference in performance is inevitable.
Initial has been boosted by a big margin and so has the midrange. Immediately swapped with a stock bike and the increased pep was agreed upon by both riders. Another frnd who has a Two brothers exhaust but no filter also tried but power delivery on my bike was a lot better. And then there's the sound. Finally the bike has character now.
Ok nuff said, here are some pics. Will do a vid for you guys later so you'll can hear my baby sing.

Congrats on the new pipe BP. I've been wanting to get a set of pipes for my bike as well but the only thing that stops me is the dirt bike kinda sound at high rev's.

Nevertheless the LV One looks fab. I love the design and compared to many other pipes this looks very classy and elegant. Truly Italian.

Do you have popping noise from the exhaust? With just a K&N i can hear very soft pop sounds from my exhaust (only when i revv in neutral). Can you confirm if this filter and pipe mod needs a power commander to correct the AFR?
Congrats again and have fun.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Ownership experience

Hey BP,

The new Leo Vince exhaust feels made for the Ninja, does not alter the esthetics at all. Good to see there are performance improvements at the low and mid range, I personally feel that it will improve riding inside the city.
Where did you pick up the stuff, is it from a store out here or did you get shipped. Enjoy the ride.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Ownership experience

Hi... Congrats on the pipe... Looks like a million bucks and bet it sounds like a million bucks too. Do put up a video...

Meanwhile, I fitted a full exhaust pipe (from header to tailpipe) too... Its a Yoshimura with a carbon fibre can...

Take a look and tell me what you think here:

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Ownership experience

After a lot of searching, I found the FZ tyre hugger. I found Motul Chain clean. I tried many places near by, not able to find the Motul chain lube.

n_aditya - I got an appointment for a general check up today. I will leave it today and pick it up tomorrow. Please let me know if you are coming on Saturday. It would be great to meet you at the pro biking place.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Ownership experience

Its been 7 months since the last post..wheww!! that's a long time. Also been a painful and anxious one. Had a crash in May and ended up with a few fractures and some stitches too. Thankfully the bike wasnt as bad as me but even then both of us took about 5 months to get fixed. But thts history andim back and so is the Ninja. While im still not a 100%, the Ninja is and infact even better. Added a hotbodies smoked double bubble screen and it does look hot. Also added swingarm spools. Pic is of the first ride back from pune after the crash.
