Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

In the meantime, prices went up by another 2 lakhs - 64.9 lakhs ex-showroom now for the M340i X Drive. Still great value IMO, if one can get their hands on one.

Any chance you went ahead with this through BMW? If so, how does it compare with the stock exhaust?

We got a text from our dealer stating that BMW is now offering the M Performance Exhaust for the M340i with a warranty of 2 years. You could check it out with your dealer in case you haven't got it installed already.

Any idea if BMW is taking orders or timeline on when the next lot is coming to India?

Thanks in advance.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

Hi all, what would be the right price for a 2021 model. It's run under 2k km and looks new from inside and outside. Dealer has quoted 69L which seems high to me. There seems to be a 3-4 month delay in registering the car, can that be a potential red flag? What are other things to look for?

Mod Note- Please post your queries only in one thread. Thanks.

Tell the dealer to do a 360 checkup and share the report. It costs around 10,000, but since the dealer himself is selling, they should not charge. That report is very descriptive. Also, see if they can throw any extended warranty.

3-4 months difference - Is this from the date of the Invoice or the first PDI date that you see on the cluster? If it's the former, sometimes it's possible, especially in the case of out-of-station registration. But if it's later, i.e. the first PDI date that you see on the cluster will be the start of your warranty date, and the difference is possible only if the car was used by the dealership unless someone paid an advance and backed out. Ask the dealership clearly, maybe involve their service department. They won't lie usually and will be straightforward.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

All - Just sharing that I booked a M 340i in Tanzanite Blue and will be picking up my car in about 2 weeks time. Got lucky with one in stock!

Previous cars owned include a X1 Diesel and 330i GT. Super excited about upgrading to the B58. Will post reports when I pick up the car in the first week of December.

One question for the group -

My car is coming with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Any reviews on these? I have had bad experiences with tires on BMW in my X1 where the Pirellis were a headache and just not meant to handle Indian roads. Never used Goodyear since my 330i GT came with Continentals and those have been good.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

Hi Guys,

I'm very excited to announce the newest addition to my collection of 3's. The M340i X-Drive Jhare 50 Edition in Tanzanite Blue. Thanks a lot to the team-BHP community for posting their reviews and ownership experiences which made my decision all the more easier.

I also got stock steering wheel replaced with the M Performance edition and boy is it worth every penny.

Sharing a few pics to add to the community.

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

Any idea of the LCI launch/price announcement happening today? My dealer told me earlier this week that launch of the LCI will be today with deliveries starting in January. I expect BMW may launch the M340i first to create a halo and then launch the regular 330i/320d models later?

Yes, will be launched today afternoon.

Mechanically the only change seems to be that the LCI will now get the 48V mild hybrid tech. Rest the spec remains same as per globally revealed LCI, hence the Laser lamps will be gone in favour of the new headlamps & DRLs.

Interiors will get the new screen, iDrive 8 & CF trims as standard, a new addition is that the car will also get connected drive app feature (missing in pre-LCI).

Re: BMW M340i xDrive Review

My SA informs me that production has started for the LCI M340i at the factory and the first cars will be out by Jan 23rd. In the meantime, BMW are also launching the 3 series LWB (Gran Limousine) LCI in the coming week. Will be an interesting month for those looking to pick up the new 3 series LCI.

Whereas BMW launched the pre-LCI M340i in India almost 2 years after the global launch, the LCI is coming in just a few months after global launch and availability. Reviews are still coming in from media houses in UK and Europe.

Re: BMW owners can now lock/unlock and start the car's engine using their Android devices

Only thing is, to start the engine you still need the traditional key to be inside the car. The literature does say you can start the engine by unlocking your phone and then navigating and pressing some buttons within the App, but that is clunky way to start a car.

This is an understandable precaution, since you don't want someone who stole your phone to also drive away your car immediately. Flip side is the digital key is not very useful in day to day situations as you would have the physical key also on yourself or your bag and that already would have been able to open the door for you!
Off topic! But could you please tell if the M340i LCI gets adaptive cruise control and Lane keep assist?
