Yes, If possible, please do share the manufacturing month/year of the kodiaqs as that will give an insight on the last batch details. If I remember correctly, we have seen August 2023 and December 2023 batches here as the latest.

The fresh interior smell was also missing on the inside. The dealer says this can be cleaned, but I am pretty sure they will leave marks on the exterior.
Its quite common to see brand new cars emerging out all dusty and is a common practice for dealership to clean and dress it up. But interiors will be fresh.

Thank you , your ownership review helped in zeroing in on the Kodiaq.

As per VIN number the kit was manufactured in 2023 Sept, assembled in August 2024.

Mine is Oct 2023 Manufactured as per VIN. However, the Lamination had a sticker mentioning 13-11-24 as the date of application and 12-11-2025 as the date of expiry. Which probably indicates the final assembly was done in November 2024. Here is a photo of the sticker. Ignore the dirt on the body while in the stockyard.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

From what we know so far, there are no 2024 assembled Kodiaqs. The 2024 dates mentioned in the stickers is most probably the shipment and configuration date of the car. I could be wrong though since these are no communication Skoda rather online and some place else.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Its actually raining the Kodiaqs all over. My small humble suburb in Mumbai now has 5 or 6 Kodiaqs within the area of 3 KM radius. Happy to see so many fellow people enjoying the vehicle. This gives that confidence that my choice was good enough.

Driving it each day is such a joy. It is the perfect car I have bought in long time. Absolutely no regret for not waiting the new model of Kodiaq.

Even I had booked a VIN23 and MY24, thinking the manufacturing year (assembled year) was 2024. However, I was later explained that it's not the manufacturing year, but the Model Year. There were some small changes between the 2023 and 2024 models. Also, as someone rightly pointed out, no Kodiaq was assembled in 2024; 2023 was the last year. I received an August 2023-assembled car; I had booked it during the November '24 online sales and got it delivered in December '24.

Correct! In the VAG world, Model Year or 'MY' is only broadly indicative of the actual manufacturing 'year'. Typically changes around July/August to the following year.

The date of application and expiry details are only for the protective film. It indicates when that sticker is applied and more importantly when to take it off and reapply to prevent paint damage.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

My Kodiaq right tail brake light is not working. Just got a notification out of nowhere on the screen to check my brake light yesterday. Has anyone faced this issue?
There is no damage to the light. Just not working. Also will it be replaced under warranty? My Kodiaq is 2yrs old in Feb.

Re: 2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Review | 2.0L Petrol DSG

Hello Members,

I need your opinion on how to fix following problem with my Kodiaq.

Recently, while washing the car, my washing person opened the tailgate and put the key on top of the panoramic sun roof. After some time, the tailgate started closing automatically along with all doors. But during this process, the key entered into the bay below the tailgate where it is hinged to the roof. Because of the motor power during closing, the tailgate part got bent over the key which got struck there. Please see the attached pictures.

I took the car to authorized service station which quoted about 11K for the work. The work involves removing the bend and repainting the top portion of the tailgate above the glass area.

Now my concern is about repainting. I believe repainted area will not match the finish and fineness of the factory paint. So is there a way where just the bend can be removed but no repainting is done?

As of now, there are hardly 2 dots of paint removal on the top around the bend. I feel, that alone can be repainted since this area is invisible to normal users. So my question, is it possible to remove the bend and reach to 99% smoothness around the bend area and not apply the new color on whole top area?

Since the Service center is not agreeing to this, can this be done by external local garage yet no issue on the warranty?

Issue is when dent will be taken out, most of the applied paint with get removed on its own during the process. If you can get job done outside, you should as it is a minor stuff & it won't void warranty. With few paint touches, that won't be visible as it's on top dome area.

It seems like water might seep in through that dent, but if you’re sure it won’t, you can just leave it as it is. However, knowing there’s a dent can be mentally frustrating—I feel the same way whenever I see one. If that would bother you too, it’s best to get it fixed. I recommend getting it done through Skoda since their paint matches perfectly. I had a dent removed from my Kodiaq’s tailgate, and you can’t even tell it was ever there.
