No, this happened with Sonet. Mine is HTX variant which gets 8 inch touchscreen with wireless apple carplay and android auto.

1.5 T DCT :
1.5 Diesel AT :
My IVT is giving 8.5 to 9 in city traffic (i do many short 2-3 km trips and occasionally 10-15 km) and 16.5 to 17 in the recent highway trip nearly 450 kms (both with AC on full time).

For my 1.5 petrol DCT, I am getting around 10-12 kmpl routinely in Delhi traffic depending on traffic. If traffic is less then even 13-14 kmpl. On highways, around 18 kmpl.

Yes, this is right answer. AA/CP wireless is to do something with 10.2" screen and not the system.

What about hardwire cable thickness? The service advisor was concerned about voltage fluctuation and advised not to use it. Any comment.*

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

I visited Epitome Kia Whitefield, Bangalore today to take a test drive of Seltos. I absolutely loved driving it. Confused between GTX+ and X-line still. I am planning to upgrade from my current 2017 Honda City V MT.
They have not got the latest prices which will be effective from April 1st yet, but SA told even though they say 3% hike, it may not be fully 3%, since already 1-2 customers canceled their booking when they said it will be hiked by 3%.
When I asked him for any discounts, he said absolutely no room for any discounts currently. They will allow me to take a cheaper insurance from other vendors too if I get at cheaper price. But, apart from this, there is no other discounts he can provide it seems.
Will it be the same in other retailers as well? Since it's been many months since this facelift version was launched and now Creta facelift is also available, I thought there maybe some room for negotiation.

Also, he said from showroom only they can give 3M PPF for around 1.3 Lakhs usually. But they will not do PPF for the roof part. Those who got PPF from outside, is it full body PPF, or roof is usually excluded from PPF?

Outside insurance should give you savings of 20-30k easily over dealer insurance. Then you can get rid of unnecessary accessories pack and handling charges etc. You can also wait for Ugadi if Kia comes up with any additional offers.

If this is the ONLY dealer / showroom in your area , than unfortunately they won't budge much. Kia dealers are very adamant on that front.

Since you are from Bangalore , would suggest checking with other dealers (even if your have to travel a bit) and check for their offers and possibly pitch them against each other. However, chances of any good discounts are relatively lower.

Avoid these detailing jobs from the showroom. They. barely have any expertise on these and care a damn.

You are better off getting it from a professional (for the same price).

GTX+ vs X line can be a completely personal choice - I avoided X line due to the high maintenance of matte finish (only one color & finish available - It's more prone to scratches, dust attracting, some bird droppings if not managed quickly can leave lasting effects)

Discounts on FL Seltos are difficult unless its a 2023 manufacturing which might be difficult to get as we are already in end of March. IMO the only indirect discounts available would be in the form of complimentary accessories (you'll have to negotiate) & insurance premium which can be around ~35-40k for GTX + vs the listed price of ~80k.

As far as PPF is concerned, IMO it's a waste of money if you consider price to benefit ratio.

There are no discounts on the 2024 model in Bengaluru, even at other showrooms (I checked with JSP, PPS, Advaith, Epitome). I'm getting mine in imperial blue (2023 version with a good discount) from PPS Kia, Mysore Road, even though I live in Whitefield. The only way you can reduce a bit is by opting out of insurance from dealer and get it from outside, which most dealerships allow you to do. PPS has 1 black 2023 December in stock if you're interested. Message me if you need SA's number (Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with any showroom or salesperson).

Regarding PPF, you can get it done for 80k–90k with good-quality TPU or cermaic coating at around 30-45k. I'm not opting for any as I feel the cost benefit isn't worth it. but that is just my personal opinion.

Try to pit one dealer against other and gain discounts that way. In terms of insurance surely you would save a good deal by going outside route. I saved a good 35~ K by going with Acko.

I personally don't feel much value in PPF. I would rather get the said part repainted if needed at a much cheaper rate with the factory finish.

Please share SA's number with me. What is the discount you got for the 2023 model? Which variant are you going for?

I'm unable to send you a message as you have disabled messages. I'm getting GTX plus DCT. I got a discount around 1.3 lakh overall (dealer insurance included).

I haven't posted much yet. So PM option is not yet enabled for me I guess.

Those of you who have the X-line, the HUD is actually useful or more of a gimmick/hindrance?

The HUD does have its practical use. It helps keep you eyes on the road and still check e.g. the route, speed, etc.

I wouldn't call it a gimmick neither it hinders your view of the road ahead.

Not a gimmick for sure and the inbuilt maps are very useful over the HUD. No distractions and is perfectly placed in the line of view.

The only disgrace to this is, it doesn't show google maps when it's connected to Carplay/ Android Auto. A software update is long pending.
