Yes. The cars are manufactured in India and exported to Japan with some very minor changes.

Since you have mentioned "park", I think this applies only to the AT models.

I did confirm that putting the gear in neutral on my ZX MT does not change the behavior. Everything still turns off when I turn off the engine.

WRV gets an black interior theme v/s dual-tone theme in the Elevate. Few more differences:

No Sunroof- interesting!
Different touchscreen
lesser colour options
No manual.

drove from mumbai to pune and back. trip B average was 18.4. On the way back from Pune, petrol left was for about 60kms from when i started with a little more than half tank from mumbai. after crossing the talegaon toll plaza, i got the tank full. I drove consciously at 80kmph speed setting up the acc. traffic was sparse and when i reached home to my astonishment the trip A meter after doing full tank showed an average of 23.3kmpl in which 80% was driving on the expressway and balance in the city to get home. Is this average possible?
what is the best and maximum average you have got driving at 80kmph?

I got Elevate (Pearl White, V Automatic) in December 2023. Wanted to write the review after covering some decent mileage but could drive only about 5000 kms in 16 months due to work commitments and laziness. Below are my observations on the selection, purchase and experience with the car.

Selection: My earlier Honda i.e. Brio (S, Manual) was completing 10 years and it was time to change, not only due to reason that Brio was 10 years old but also for the fact that I was facing shortage of boot space more frequently. Other than that, it was flawless, as I expected from Honda. The smoothness of rev-happy i-VTEC engine, the reliability of each and every part of the car was very soothing, particularly for a lazy person like me who just wants to drive the car with minimum visits to the service station. Brio was to be serviced every 6 months, which I did in the initial warranty period. Once that was over, I switched to 1 year period. No extended warranty was sought, no issues faced. That is Honda.

Now, when I thought of changing, I considered all the options available at that time. XUV700 was one of them. But did not proceed ahead for (i) it being a new product from Mahindra and (ii) there were long waiting periods. I considered Creta and Seltos also. As I wanted an automatic, I realised one interesting thing – Elevate was cheaper, much cheaper than Creta or Seltos for automatic variants. Honda generally charges a premium for its products, but this time, it was quite reasonably priced. The lowest automatic model in both Creta and Seltos were above 16 L ex-showroom whereas Elevate automatic was just 13.28 L ex-showroom. This meant that Elevate’s on-road price would be less than Creta/Seltos’ ex-showroom price. This was besides safety related concerns about the Korean twins.

Hyryder/G Vitara were having a long wait time for their hybrid models. Also, the price difference with their mild hybrid versions were significant. Their petrol engines were just ok kind of thing. These two seemed to be made for people looking for great mileage.

Thought of Volkswagen/Skoda products also (Kushak etc) but always had that reliability issues about them in some corner of my mind.

Purchase: Booked the car from Ring Road Honda in Delhi and took the delivery in December 2023. Dealership messed up with the insurance. I told them that I would arrange for the insurance on my own. They were ok with that and I insured the car with Acko. When I sent them insurance details, they said they can not deliver the car if insurance is with Acko. After some arguments, I changed the insurer and took the delivery. But this was not a good experience. Further, the fast tag (from SBI) provided by the dealership was not activated timely and I faced issues because of that.

V was the lowest model in CVT line up and it had all the features that I wanted except one i.e. cruise control. To get this, one need to get ZX but that was too much a price difference. Surprisingly, the middle version i.e. VX also did not get cruise control.

Experience: My observations are:

Overall, it is good product with 7.5/10 rating. All the 2.5 marks deducted for that irritating road noise. I suggest prospective buyers to do proper test drive if this aspect is important for you.

Yes, that’s possible. I’ve checked many times and the MID showing fuel efficiency in my City is very accurate when checked by tankful method. Recently I got 20.36kmpl after a 1000 km trip by tankful method and the MID also showed 20.3kmpl.
With some restraint, I’ve clocked over 30kmpl FE for a drive of over 100 kms.

Wow! FE of 30kmpl is amazing :thumbs up
In a heavy car like elevate i wasn’t expecting the FE to go above 20kmpl with air con on and driving on acc mode. It makes so much of a difference in mileage at 80kmph vs at higher speed.
The elevate cruises at 1500rpm when at 80kmph and when you cross 85kmph it starts hovering at 1800rpm. At 90kmph it is at 2000rpm and the mileage drops to 15-16kmpl.

After a year using the Elevate, in the past 1 month I have ended up unfortunately grazing my car on 2 separate areas.

Could someone pls help out with suggested remedial steps? The dent is very minor in nature in one of these, and I want to try to solve these DIY rather than getting painting job done as these are quite minor.

Get a rubbing compound and apply on affected areas and give a good rub. Wipe clean with a dry cloth and you should be good. If the dents still bother you get them removed via dry denting by any FNG who can also do a paint touchup if required. Should not cost you most than 500 in total.

Has anyone here installed 360 degree camera for Elevate? IF so can you share feedback on that?

I had sent an email to Honda India on 360 degree camera which got redirected to the dealer and the dealer has confirmed that 360 degree camera under their supervision could be installed at a cost.

The cost quoted by the dealer is 35K in all, where there will no wire cutting involved. Its just plug and play using couplers.

The same work by a car accessory shop known to me where i got some of the alteration work on my previous car is quoting 25K.

The only reason for me to go the dealer is the peace of mind that i ll get if it gets installed under their supervision.

What other aspects do you think i need to take care if i were to go for the installation. Thoughts/inputs welcome..

Selection: [*]NVH – This is the biggest let down. It is something so very un-Honda-ish. Road noise is very much present in the car. Compared to this, Brio now feels very insulated, silent. I am very disappointed from Honda on this issue, it was not expected. Moreover, some harshness was there, although it now seems to be reducing. Thankfully, vibrations are not there. At even normal speeds, road/tyre noise is just annoying.

I rode a friend's Elevate and was so impressed with the NVH. Turns out he too had the same problem. He got it insulated in the after market. I would happily compare the modified drive experience to a C class.

If you are not shy of doing minor mods, I highly recommend it. Will try to get you more details if you are interested.

Was surprised to read you were impressed with NVH. I reread it and could infer our meaning.
Would be interesting to know what was done and other details. Please do put in the details here for the benefit of all

Generally you always get higher kmpl going from Pune to Mumbai since you are travelling to lower elevation ( 560 m above sea level to sea level ).

Thank you. I will definitely get the rubber compound and try it out. I think it should work for the minor scratches but the black grooves on the first picture are actually deep and I think I might have to go to a nearby garage for this.

For the rubbing compound, I found this on amazon. Hope this suffices.

Yes, I have. You can check out my post on this thread where I have posted my experience and suggestions on the same. Whatever your dealer said was what my dealer said was well, however, do get this in writing from them that it won't void the warranty (something i had done)
