Could you please share the price you paid for this?
It costed around Rs. 66000 for 5 wheels.

Yes, the valves were changed.

No, Kia dealer did not exchange the existing wheels.

Thanks for the confirmation.

In that case , my local dealer is charging me 1,100/- extra per wheel.

Yes.. similar thoughts.
But I don't think they will add another variant this late.
Surely they wanted to uncomplicate with more variants as the case with Seltos

Any recent update on this 360 camera as an accessory for Sonet HTX DCT.(its not in official accessory list)

The SA is saying its original OEM and will not void warranty. I asked if they can give it in writing - he said the invoice itself is the proof and dont need to worry about warranty.
This 360 camera cost 34-35k(yes . its pricey!) and it supports recording as well (act as DashCam )

Thanks

Re: 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Review

After a long research and lot of test drives booked Kia Sonet turbo petrol IMT HTX+. Delivery in 7-10 days, excited to get the delivery soon.

Got a good offer from the dealer in Thane 15.35 Lakhs on road (accessories and extended warranty not included). The experience was great at Shreenath Kia with sales folks in suit and tie. Really wish Indian manufacturers did the same i.e. promoting khadi and local dress codes etc plus have a great culture in customer experience.

Will be sharing pictures soon.

Re: 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Review

Having read through the thread and having got most answers, I just had one question

Has anyone changed to comfort oriented tires like Universal Continental (US) or Michelin to improve the stiff ride and how much on a scale of 10 has it improved the ride?

Following is my analysis so far:

My doubt is, if we can add TPMS in the fifth wheel, that will remain as spare wheel and while we do tyre rotation during service, the spare wheel can be swapped and if the sensor will pair and will not interfere with the other tyres TPMS.

Thank you for your time and response.
Update: Was able to fix the TPMS sensor in the Fifth wheel, through KIA Service Center.
Only 4 TPMS sensors ID's can be configured/paired at a time in the ECU.
So while tyre rotation, whichever wheel is being set as the spare wheel, that sensor ID must be unpaired and the sensor ID of the wheel that is being rotated has to be paired again in the ECU.

I have changed my tires to Michelin and maintain a tire pressure of 34 -34.5psi in all the tires. The ride feels comfortable. On a scale of 10 it would be an 8.

How much 1 tyre of Michelin costed you?
I will be in for a tyre change soon and my earlier experience with Michelins in my Honda city was excellent. Although the factory fitted Apollo in Sonet have been good so far with close to 49000 km of running.

I'm curious to know if Michelin tyres are still available in market. I searched in multiple shops in Bangalore when I bought my Sonet (it came with MRF), but only imported one and older manufactured date were available. So, I had to go for Conti UC6.

I'm also considering UC tires because of availability concerns compared to Michelin.

How would you assess the Sonet comfort improvement of UC tires on a scale of 1 to 10?

XUV 3XO with 205/65 R16 tires and the Sonet has 215/60 R16 tires,

Increasing the profile height, for instance, from 60 to 65, could enhance comfort, absorption, and traction. However, it might also impact handling, fuel consumption, and speedometer accuracy.

Have you considered increasing the profile? Do you see any other drawbacks of increasing Tyre profile size?

I actually changed the tyres very next day after taking delivery, so I couldn't really test the performance of MRF. However, if I were to rate the UC6 performance on absolute scale, I would rate it around 8. I am very happy with them - no road noise and fairly comfortable ride.

Regarding increasing the profile, I usually stick to the default profile primarily because the car was not tested with any other profile and higher profile might impact car's handling leading to safety concerns.

I changed the tires in April. Most of the big tire dealers in Chennai had imported ones from Thailand.
