An elder in my family used to own an Amby of then exact same colour of this car and had registration number KRT 5678. Often at moments you don't want to be caught by some one in the family I mistook KRT 5673 to be the one with my family and had to take evasive action
Its easy to mistake the 3 for 8 :Frustrati
Both were from June-July 1977. Almost 1st lot of Mark III in Trivandrum

Our good old Ambassador standing proudly after a carburetor, suspension and brakes overhaul.
A lovely picture of a pair of Ambassador Mark 2s in 1975, showing the old Bombay Poona road. These are probably tourist taxis.

Spotted this beauty on old airport road, Marathalli (Bangalore), early this morning.
Coincidentally found it featured on the KVCCC (Karnataka Vintage and Classic Car Club) Instagram page later in the day. Such a happy coincidence! clap:

This is among the new shades "Pastel pink" introduced in January 1964 by HM for the Mark II. It was quite common for the earliest Mark II's but the shade disappeared by 1965. I had never thought that there would be any survivors with this factory shade, but KVCCC, Bangalore member Mr Raghunandan has shown that there is a surviving example. All the pictures below are by him. He had taken out the car for a spin one Sunday morning very recently and after stopping at a spot, he found youngsters clicking pictures of the car. They were thrilled to see the beauty.
Youngsters going gaga over the car !
(all pictures by Mr Raghunandan)
The last image below is from the Hindustan Motors Annual Report of 1965, as a reference for the original factory shade.
Here is the latest photo of the Bangalore Landmaster Twins.
