It's obvious that the owner doesn't know what it means and only knew that they come on the car, so just fitted them just for show!

Hey Stanher, Yamaha once designed an engine for the early 90's Ford Taurus Saloon. It was very powerful, and the monikers read SHO - Super High Output.

Maybe the owner of the Mk1 here was inspired by the same. Maybe he intends to convey Very High Output:uncontrol?

@anjan - You have posted it earlier in the weird and wacky mods thread. Here's my reply to the same:

Cyrus enjoyed viewing it again and again.
Firstly, the cameraman is seen in one of the pictures -the paint reflects his image.
Next, the car is fairly original and well kept.Am reminded of my own Landmaster's steering, that was in the same state when I bought it. There was nothing in the steering centre where one could usually find a horn button. This one has a horn ring- mine did'nt.
Next one of the dash switches are borrowed from an Amby- guess its the self starter engaging switch. My Landmaster too has the Amby switch there!
Lastly , the headlight sealbeam outer rings are borrowed from a Mark 3/4. Even after 1974 Mark II Ambys sported these kinda rings!

Haha! That's a good one! clap:

Although, I suspect, more than output, he is more concenred about Very High mileage!

That beautiful Landmaster belongs to a fellow BHPian, and keeps company with an even better 53 (ish) Plymouth.

Dear Karl - yes you are correct. He did mention a Plymouth. In the fourth picture you can see my hand. I am in the orange and white tee shirt standing in front of the car talking to the owner who is in the blue tee shirt. Cyrus took the photographs. It is a good car and very restorable. I have taken the contact number. Let's see.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Its really pleasure to see a Landmaster in a very good shape.
The Landmaster of tbhpian egangsta is also in a very good shape. See his garage.

The guy in blue tee is my uncle and swears to kill any one who offers to buy the landmaster. Beware! Think twice before calling him. rl:

A nice old snap of Calcutta (Howrah Bridge?) taken around 1978- every car seen in the pic. seems to be an Amby!

I remember Dev Anand and Ashok Kumar fleeing in a Mk2 Amby after being chased by the bad guys (or was it good guys?:)) in Jewel Thief. The car was a two tone grey and black Mk2, with many similar period accessory trims fitted, making the car look very cool. I think the regn was WB, and the number was a special one.

Can anyone find that scene and post a screen shot?

Thanks for the information Karl. Have the VCD but don't remember-will see it again. A black Merc 190D was also featured in this film that had met with an accident.
Here are more Morris, Cowley, Oxford Series II and III and Issis pictures from Quality First, Spring 2009 issue, the magazine of the MCOIC, Oxford , UK (Morris Cowley, Oxford and Issis Owner's Club). I received this magazine only a few days back.
Karl, here is a two tone Morris Oxford featured below.
