Try Glasurit code "483" Blue Pavone or "Peacock Blue" in Italy it was offered from 1954 onwards and is darker than the shade on my car. Think of it as a ink blue but slightly metallic. It will look excellent on your car. Black is too common. Go for the uncommon your car will stand out.

Thanks Amol. Would you know where I can get the rubber beading that holds the windscreen, rear glass etc? I am told that it is difficult to get the replacements.

To be honest, the guy who restored my car, bought and fixed the rubber. However I will do some research for you on the weekend. you want the complete set right? I think they are also available in Bangalore, Manish knows where.

Thats two sets then!

Does anyone know if "Arild" is still making rubbers for the older 1100's, they generally have a yellow trade mark on the joint however it seems to be missing on my car rubbers.

Glass rubbers for FIATs

Presently, Glass rubbers for Dukkars, Select/SuperSelect are oft and on available in Mumbai by a Company called "ORC". I really cannot figure out whether that is the actual company name or just stamped locally. They say that it is a sister concern of "ARILD" which used to make the best quality rubber parts for FIATs earlier.

Have used "ARILD" products all my life on my FIATs with no complaints and good durability.

"ORC" quality comes nowhere near ARILD or ALP but since we have no choice we have to make do.
Have noticed them cracking in 2 yrs time fitted on a friends car.

Thanks guys! It appears that getting the rubber beading is not impossible. I will take the plunge and ask the painter to remove the glass.

Have a doubt...'am attaching pics of a RVM. My doubt is whether it'd be the right one for a '55 1100, the stalk has 4 holes on it, haven't seen one like it before.
