Pavan Sir did the Joy's NE really needed the paint job. I think it just needed some rubbing polishing to make it gleam. Anyways i am really hooked to this paint job.Do update on its progress.

I felt it did not , but few portions of that car were previously painted with duco and was looking Dull at many places, rubbing polishing would have to be a regular affair to maintain it.

And Joy is a kind of person, who needs his cars or bikes to be SPIC n SPAN.

My persuasion to not paint the car lasted only 4 months, i had to give in

But anyways, the work is on FASTRACK. Here are the updates.

I like the progress of this Fiat 118. The workmanship is excellent. What mods are planned? Any stripes coming up?

ENTRY from NORTH-GATE, Double Road Entrance.

0900Hrs to 1000Hrs : Assemble and Members Talk
1000Hrs to 1045Hrs : Official Founders speak and Members speak.
1045Hrs to 1115Hrs : Photo session
1115Hrs : Line UP
1125Hrs : Flag off of City-Rally
1215Hrs : End of City-rally at Golf Course Road
1230Hrs : Start of Long drive towards BIAL for lunch (one side 30KM drive)
1500Hrs : Meet Ends after Lunch.

Thank you Srini, There are no mods planned, pure and simple. Get it back to Assembly line perfectness.

I really appreciate your effort to get the stunning NE painted in a dramatic speed just to attend the rally.

Let's hope even the AirBus Driver will make it up for this Dhamaka Rally.

Wow, I too felt the car was in good nick.

But please take off the whitewalls (and hubcaps) during the painting!! Dont let them be ruined

Nice to have you back in town

Dont worry boss, the car is on correct time track.

There is no tearing hurry to finish the car, we are doing it at the right pace, and since there is nothing much of tinkering to be done on the car, its happening fast.

Today, we have removed the windshields and the white wall tyres masked.

Spotted this very neat Delight in Malleswaram. I guess its 1966 or 67 model as it had clip wheels(rear) with normal Delight aluminum grille!

Guys can anybody state the approx. cost of a used S1 exhaust pipe (twin one) and the tail pipe (1.75 diameter)
Do state the price keeping in mind that these are used parts. I am a little confused regarding the price of both the parts so require help from you people.

Hi Sagar,
Such parts are of no value to the scrapyard guys actually. So only Fiatians like us will ask for such parts. So the best price you can pay is --> weight value of that part + 30% of that weight value.

So for the pipe, you can pay around 300rs.

Thanks for stating the approx. cost of the parts but i am confused as to which pipe you are referring. The amount stated by you is for which pipe the exhaust or tail pipe.

Its not the tail pipe man! Its the exhaust manifold + the twin pipe up to the catcon. I hope you are aware that to fix a S1 exhaust, you need to fit it along with the exhaust manifold.

Spotted these two MEEs in Kumara Parvata Park today. One is a daily use Fiat other one is sadly sinking in ground.
