Going by the proportions of the hood it is likely to be a local conversion to soft top.

Restored quite well, but some features have been changed.

Nawab Sahib Junagadh had one of the best kennels in India and ironically he died of rabies.

I remember the Junagadh Chevrolet and its owner well from 1989-92 when I was posted in Karachi and was restoring my Packard. None of the car enthusiasts were intrigued by this car and we thought the top had been cut off rather shabbily in Karachi. The Pictures clarify this was a shikar conversion possibly after partition . I doubt this car was brought over from Junagadh as the family evacuated by Dakota at the last moment. In all probability the car was part of the Junagadh House Karachi establishment since before partition.
Most of the southern states had houses in Karachi, and the northern states in Lahore.
The owner was also not enthusiastic about this car and I distinctly remember a discussion wherein he was more interested in getting his old lawn mower fixed than this car. I think he got a good price for it and one fine morning the car was gone from the open area in front of the workshop where it had been languishing.
I do remember that while we were skeptical about the surgery on the car and the condition it had been in, the engine ran like a top and was exceptionaly smooth and quiet.
The owner and his family are a decent bunch of noble people and seldom pine after or remember their hey days, having settled in quiet domestic existence.

How rich were the Maharajas before Independence! Cars of the Maharajas-bhavnagar-bentley-1928-6-half-fa2513-2nd-barker-body.jpg

The 2nd (Barker) body on the Bhavnagar Bentley 6.5 Liter; Chassis FA2513.

The 1st body, a fabulous polished aluminium sports tourer has now been reunited with the chassis:

The 2nd Barker body on Bhavnagar's RR PI (Chassis 60AL) is also very much in the same vein. This chassis was shown at the last Cartier with a replica of the original body.

It was awarded the Grand Prix at the Paris Concours d'Elegance, June 1924

I think these cars should be picked up by well heeled enthusiasts in India or Pakistan. High time these cars were brought back home. I wish I could afford to pick these up as Govt. of Pakistan now has allowed import of classic cars made upto 1968, against a fixed import duty of US$5000.
