Just saw this today the newly constructed NH-8 flyover while returning from work. By the looks of it, i dont think anyone survived. Notice the silver Alto hanging halfway on the divider. The front of the Alto was in total shambles. On the other side of the road was an Indica. Maybe tommorow's newspapers will carry more details.

Yes there was a huge traffic jam on the flyover.
I dont have any idea though how the hell the Alto got on top of barrier poles. Maybe tomorrow's newspapers will have some insight.

No wonder
  • No body exactly know what is a speed limit and why one should obey it
  • The white stripes on the road is a design for everyone, no lane sense
  • Indicators are to be used only while taking the right/left turn
Really a bad scene, but cant help these feelings. I really feel govt should do something

Even worse is the awareness of right of way. Cross traffic always seems to have priority, especially bigger vehicles playing bully game.

I saw this accident as the owner of the alto stay's in my society. Basically what happened was that the crane from the other side of the road lost control, went on the other side of the divider and rammed into the alto. Thankfully the crane was in a slow speed, and so was the alto and there were no casualties.
