The Omni accident is bad. Was the ambulance driving on duty and crashed. Any idea. The drivers legs must have got jammed badly

This is the worst part about vehicles like this, as any frontal impact would be devastating. I am actually curious, how do vehicles like the Omni pass the vehicle safety test and get approved. Never really thought of this before

The million dollar question is why Omni is being used as an ambulance? Its not fast, not safe, not stable and has poor brakes.

LOL. Got to admire the ingenuity here of the woman selling flowers. Found a nice shaded spot for herself!

Its ability to squeeze through non-existent gaps can cut through traffic and our stupidly narrow by-lanes.

Yep very good for crowded towns and cities. But dangerous once on Highways.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

This is my friend's Aviator.
This happened somewhere near Hoody circle.
He was returning back to office from home after lunch and a Swift Dzire came and hit him from the left side. Such was the impact that the wheel has turned rightwards and hit the main body on the right.
Even the swift was damaged it seems (no pics). As people started to gather, these two decided to settle their damages on their own.
Don't know whose mistake it was. Luckily nobody is hurt.
Now the estimate is at 10,000+.

One more advantage to add, it has sliding doors.

i don't think the Omni ambulances use the side doors, similar to the Cargo version, just that they have windows.

Swift jumped the divider when pushed off the road from the left by an overtaking UPSRTC bus. Driver apparently lost his nerve and swerved to the right.

Heard of a Sea Bird bus accident at NH4 in news today which killed one lady. As per reports, the bus hit a lorry and fell off over bridge at 2.30am. It happened due to rash driving. Driver escaped unhurt and flew the scene without even calling for help.

Looking at the front grill, I feel that it is a Maruti Dzire.

Did anything bad happen to the passengers?
