Did Bangalore-Coimbatore-Bangalore yesterday.

Onward was via Hosur-Palacode-Papparapatti-Dharmapuri-Salem-Avinashi.

Onward was not in a hurry hence went via Papparapatti to see that place. This route is slightly longer and in good condition.

Wanted to return home fast and took NH47-NH7 all the way while returning. As usual, its ideal for speeds above 100 and its complete four lane from L&T exit till Salem except for a three lane flyover. Left L&T exit at 9.45pm and reached Electronics city in four hours.

How long did it take to reach Salem via Palacode?

Also, can you mention the route you took after Papparapatti?

It took close to 2 hours 45 mins from Hosur to Salem via Palacode. I think it takes almost same on NH7 with ~80 kmph speeds.

I took left after Papparapatti and joined Palacode - Dharmapuri SH at the four road junction Dharmapuri. Road inside Papparapatti is narrow and other SH is much faster.

Did you go via Palacode-Papparapatti-Pennagaram-Mecheri to Salem. If so, i guess it would have been sheer pleasure driving through the ghats on the Mecheri-Pennagaram stretch

I dont remember any ghats on the Mecheri-Pennagaram stretch. It mostly goes through fields. Good avenues, but hardly remember any ghats on this stretch.

No ampere, We do have ghat section on the Mecheri-Pennagaram stretch. I have driven on this stretch twice from Mecheri to Pennagaram. There are winding roads. Absolute treat to drive on this route.
This route is to be taken if one wants to avoid paying toll at Thoppur
