Hi buddy,

In Chandigarh, you should try the Sector 35. As soon as you take the left turn while coming from the Delhi side on to the Sector 35 lane, you will see one hotel after the other. So many hotels are there that it is known as the "hotelon wali lane"

Cheers

Hi Siva,

I think they are all decent places but I personally used to stay in Hotel Castle long back. But I won't really recommend that as there are definitely better places than that in that lane. Just take a short tour, I guess, and then decide depending on current condition of the rooms etc. If you are looking for star level hotels, then you could try Piccadilly in Sector 22.

Regards

Accomodation - Hotel Ajanta, MG Road, Bangalore

Occassion - One of our cousin is getting married in June & we intend to do a bulk booking for about 1-2 days in this hotel.

Question - Has someone stayed here? How's the room service & ameneties? Is it advicable to book a room here. If not what're the alternatives I've in MG road for this?

Any help is highly appreciated. Tks.

aargee,

If you want a good, economical hotel with good exclusive car-parking on Mahatma Gandhi Road, then try Brindavan Hotel, 108, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Bangalore - 560001. Telephone: +91-80-25584000. The food in their vegetarian restaurant is very good. It is located next to HP Petrol Pump near Public Utility Buiding.

Thanks Ravi; We're vegetarians & food is not a big priority as we're on marriage feast; we're more concerned about cleanliness, good room services & facilities as of now & the prices shouldn't be exhorbidant. Any idea on that? Good that you've mentioned about car parking, I'll mention that point.

Oops, Ravi, I would prefer to hear from TBHPian rather than a review from some other website, unless you've written on asklaila.

Brindavan hotel is only the non-posh eat-out amongst the glitz of MG Road restaurants. Dishing out very good food at very affordable prices. During my college days, we used to have dinner and head out for movies to the theaters around that area!

Have not been there for quite some, due to metro work.
