Ashish, You got to check this place which is good for a group as they offer good prices. It was previously known as Allson Genesis but now as Alpha Genesis.

alphagenesishotel.com

The stay is good and they have rates inclusive of breakfast.

If you are OK with traveling about 25kms further south- try Kohinoor Samudra Resort on the outskirts of Ratnagiri. Extremely beautiful place. It is off the beach on a hillock with a great view of Arabian Sea. Bit expensive though.

Ganapatipule

The place I have been staying for last 2 years (I am going this Dec also) in Ganpatipule is Konkanwadi (shashipatwardhan.com). Its about 15 km from the temple. This is a place you should stay for peace. Good food - home cooked - and affordable rates - last year it was 750 Rs per room; this year its 900rs per room (twinsharing). Food extra.

Hi Deepak,

I am planning a trip to Kanyakumari and in process of shortlisting a hotel. Did you stay in Hotel Maadini and do you recommend it?

Regards,
Sandeep

Hi Fellow Bhpian,

In that range there is a Hotel called Vianyak in Siliguri. It is very safe in the center. Even with trust you can check out in time and leave your things in front of the reception. You can use the toilet till you move. The lounge do have mobile charger and good sitting arrangement and adjacent to lounge there is the restaurent with Ac. Inshort it is good in all.

Hi Deepak,

Can you give a land mark to both these hotels. I will try.

Hotel in Jaisalmer

We had originally planned to stay at Jaisal Castle which is a heritage hotel inside the fort walls. However, after going through the internet about the condition of the fort, I decided to stay outside the fort. And I couldn’t have taken a better decision when I selected Pleasant Haveli on a friend’s recommendation.
It’s a decent hotel with clean, big rooms and very hospitable owners who run the facility personally.
It is not located in a very clean area, but then you realize that its’ the same for most of the hotels near the fort area. It is located within walking distance of the fort, market and all other major attractions that I had on my itinerary.
There is sufficient space to park your vehicle in front of the property and the owners ensure it is cleaned every day.
The owner also guided us from the city entry to his hotel on his motorcycle. I liked his personal attention to us and I was informed that it is the same with all other customers.
The rooms are big and clean (go for Super Deluxe ones if available, we stayed in that). The rooms are done tastefully and not overloaded. Bathrooms are big and clean.
The hotel kitchen is only able to support your tea and coffee needs so plan your meals outside. However, breakfast is made available in the mornings.
I found the hotel a “pleasant” place to stay and value for money.

Rs. 1980 per night per room (Super Deluxe) during November season. Cheaper in off-season.

Not sure of the above hotels.
Try the Kanoos Residency. 1.5 to 1.6K and very good rooms. Stayed here overnight and was very impressed by good no-nonsense attitude of the hotel. Clean rooms and service was very good.

I reached guruvayur on 20th noon and stayed at Gokulam Resorts in West Nada. Decent rooms (Rs.1034 for a delux A/C room -twin room).
