even i liked the earlier Honda Accord design. New design is horrible.

Also, Civics current design is really awesome and civic in torquouise blue looks great. There is no guarantee that facelift necessarily means better cosmetic look

Is the red colour the wine red or maroonish shade? Come to think about it, haven't seen as many red's as the light blue ones. But a discount of 35K? And 25K discount of 2006 models? I thought there is a waiting list on the Civic. How come dealers have 2006 stock still with them?

I'd say go for the current Civic and it shouldn't matter if it's a 2006 make. Honda's hold their value really well and I don't think you will take a hit on your resale at all. Besides you can use that 25K to pay for petrol and have fun driving that fantastic machine.

There's No Waiting period on Civic ,Suppose Someone at the end of year thinking to buying a New car & think it will be wiser to go for New Model (O7 make) Instead of 06 wht we will get Now Dec (O6) That one month sounds/makes a car like 1 year older when u going to sell it anyways so it's make a difference So they hold their purchase till next month 15th jan ..So i guess that way they will left with old stock Right ? Colour is Habanero red like this.

OK guys,

Here is an update. Was paid a visit by the HSCI executives today and I asked them a few specific questions. And here are the answers.

1) Honda sure is coming up with a Civic facelift. As i had mentioned earlier turn lights in OVRM's , leather seats, minor changes to the headlamp design. Expected anytime between June - August 2007 with a minor price rise.

2) Also NHC is getting the treatment in Diwali this year. Minor cosmetic changes with (much needed) ABS + Airbags. Also the all new NHC is out next year.

3) The all new Accord is out next year too - Honda executives have pinned it as the sporty car to wait for. They didn't let out more than that. Will try and get some info.

4) Plus the Civic will get a facelift next year end.

5) The JAZZ is out next year end. Expected to be a hatch version of the NHC. Also because of the excise exemption being offered the engine might be downgraded to a 1.2 Ltr.

so there will be 2 face lifts? one this year and a major one in 2008?

June -july this year is perfect. I was planning on buying it around the same time.

Thanks you N_C for the wonderful news.

I have a feeling the facelift on the Civic will look siimilar to the version in the US, which has different styling for the rear.

Nah this they wont bring. Asians have different tastes and they know people like the current headlamps and tail lamps.

I'm guessing as NC said. side indicator in ORVM, fog lamps, 16" alloys, suspension raised and leather interiors.

If they facelift like the one in US, it is absolutely yucks, especially the rear. probably the designer had way too many drinks while doing up that rear . Front aint that bad.

IMHO, the current civic looks a lot better and better to go for this one rather than waiting for a facelift knowing well that it will basically a few cosmetic enhancements.
