hey NC

u r right. I am told New Civic is hitting mid june itself. and these variants will also continue though new ones are going to dent your pocket by 50k at max and 10k at minimum.

What face lift? More important.. When? 3 years down the line... Honda India is going slow slow in introducing new cars and giving face life. I guess they bring about a change in 2 years time... I only pitty the time when the Type 1 accord launched and then the totally NEW NEW changed look of the TYPE 2 accord launched.. I really feel bad for the type 1 owners..

BUt Civic, I really doubt.. I would rather wait for the Type R or the SI Civic.... We need fast cars in India..

Man, thats good news ! If all of the above on the new version is true then its happened very soon. The Civic has hardly seen a year in India and I wonder what prompted the Honda boffins to give it a facelift. I personally like the USA version better as far as looks go esp the head lights and the tail lights. Hope they replicate this in the new Indian version. Lets have more heads turn around.

Honda goes for MMC - which is their mid life model refresh (incl minor face lift) - this is scheduled for Civic post New Corolla launch, not any time soon!

Meanwhile they are planning to launch more VARIANTS / TRIMS of the existing version at different price points...

Hey guys,
we're going to be buying a civic soon and i wanted to know if there are going to be any major changes such as in the suspension or looks or whether the changes are mainly going to be in the features.
Cheers

I am also a "wanto to be" buyer of Civic.
Though I like the looks very much, sluggish pick-up, a very low slung bucket seat in the rear and smallish boot were my irritants (the sluggish pick-up being the most disturbing one as one of my friend went off and bought Skoda Rider 1.8 TPI which, according to me has a horrible rear seat and still I could not convince him on Civic).

Any changes to these things soon?

And lack of "Distance to empty" is embarrasing...

MMC - Minor Model Change comes in midlife of a honda model.

Lately Honda is increasing it's model lifespan, so for CIVIC it's 5 years.
Since CIVIC was launched in India pretty much with rest of the Asia do not expect any facelift in next 1-1.5 years.

They have started with a fully loaded model, so as the novelty declines, expect them to come up with more stripped down/up Variants.
(Up may incl more features like Leather Seat, Fog lamps, etc etc, down may remove few goodies like - alloy wheels, rear audio controls, climatronic, etc).

This is based on my research on Honda, if any one wants to dispute it please provide suitable references, than speculating... (no offenses to anyone)... I would just like to update my research!

Hey guys,
went to Arya Honda today and spoke to their sales people.
New civic expected this coming week or next, comes with leather, indicators integrated into the ORVMs and some other stuff that was mentioned on the forum.
Also, new colors - some lavnder color (??) and the Dark gray color thats present in the accord.
BTW, price increase is expected to be 50 - 60K.

Dark grey in accord awesome. That's not galaxy grey is it? Yeah the honda guys are openly saying new model in a few weeks time.

I showed disapproval when I saw the car and told him no leather no fog lamps. He immediately said no sir all that is coming in new model in a few weeks time. One year up for the Civic in india so upgrade.

Even I doubt there will be any cosmetic changes other than the features. I just hope they sort out the suspension.

Hey vid,
no it isn't Galaxy Gray. Its a darker shade than that and it is identical to Gray color offered on the new accord.
Cheers

guys - no suspension or engine changes expected. As I have said earlier - fog lamps , leather seats, indicators in ORVM's, a minor change in the dash and the front bumper etc etc are the only changes.
