Oops, just read an owner review for the Getz-D where he has mentioned the brakes as not upto the mark - not a good thing, especially for your kind of driving. Anyway, check out the brakes during the test drive.

Hi, well..update is that I've changed my accent tyres at 53K..now 3rd set running..I've tried Brigestone OE tyres for 22K, got fed up lost it, went for Michelin XM1 Energy lost it at 42K..nursed the tyres for another 10K enjoying my slides..

Now..i'ge got Yokohama A300 [185/70 R13] instead of the OE size 175/70 R13. Have increased the OD by 14mm and the car feels OK..done only a few thousand Kms..current odo reads 54K..

Planned to Keep the car until i20 or maybe something more exciting comes up. Have picked up a MM540 [1988 4wd] for the barrel of oil use..

So thats the update..and thanks for remembering..the topic!!
