Haha kooldude... I THINK this is a heavy metal thread... not a thread on alternative. But yes, me along with many people here listen to coldplay...

Godspeed,

Alok

Cheers, 'Opeth bro'. I 'discovered' the joys of Opeth-listening relatively recently....... have been hooked ever since. Great music clubbed with fantastic recording quality. What talent these guys have!

Any Porcupine Tree fans here?

Love opeth. Mikael is a genius. And i like porcupine tree, but i prefer blackfield's songs. Btw, Zakk Wylde and Black label society rock. Check out their Come together cover, a beatles song :-)

Wow, finally a thread where I can rest my head. Been a Metal head since around......damn you never know when you become one. Mostly Industrial and Metalcore fan. Had been a part of my Uni's Death Metal band for a competition. On the vocals that is. But nice to see so many metal heads on bhp.

Guys, please start listenin to Indian metal too. It needs the support of metal heads in India. There r plenty of decent bands with good own comps.

whoa a metal thread in a car forum! talk about joy within joy
as would be obvious to all by my replying in this thread yes i am indeed a self professed metal head.headbanging with fists raised high up in the air in silent tribute to the heavy metal gods! hee hee hee.
anyways i mostly stick to heavy metal/power metal/thrash metal with a lil bit of goth metal thrown in.gone are the days of grindcore and insane death metal.sigh.

black sabbath : the trailblazers
judas priest : the refiners
iron maiden : the gods
metallica : pumped steroids into maiden/priest
megadeth : pumped steroids into metallica
slayer/sepultura : kicked *** all the way to hell and back

cant wait to see megadeth and machine head perform in bangalore on the 14th of march.

peace and up the irons!
