Re: Your favourite streaming music service (radio)?

For the first time I have come across 2 major albums that are missing on Wynk. Both are latest bollywood movies namely Dangal and OK Jannu. I even mailed them regarding the same and they said they are still negotiating the licensing deal. I found it strange as after a while these songs will anyways be old and become redundant.

Anyone else facing this issue with other music apps like Gaana and Saavn?

Yes, Raees is also missing from wynk. I too had this issue when a popular song was not available on gaana but I found it on wynk. Its common for regional music singers.

But then beats the purpose of the app if they are unable to source music of 3 recent bollywood movies ( and all 3 are big ticket movies) namely Dangal, OK Jannu and Raees. They are available on Saavn on my wife's iPhone. Time to change the app subscription?

I'm experimenting with sound cloud nowadays. However, music classification is not exactly what I had hoped for. Plus it seems more of an indie music site unlike Spotify or apple music. Some of the tracks were amazing and I'd definitely be adding them to my playlist. But having said that, it is otherwise difficult to find the music that is so easily available in other apps.

^wow that's news to me. Will check it out right now.

I am very happy with apple music on android. Their english music library is massive. Love the audio quality too. Plus, you can download songs to SD card. The only downside to it is that it is buggy and not light. You can tell when you use it that it's buggy and a resource hog.

Re: Your favourite streaming music service (radio)?

For the last 3 months, I have stopped my Saavn subscription, and am solely using Jio Music App. It's not the best yet, in terms of Database, however, it has enough features and the UI is familiar and User friendly to a large extent, with maybe the Playlist management that needs an improvement. The database has been growing steadily, and so far, I haven't needed to go back to any other App. I love this free thingy.

Re: Your favourite streaming music service (radio)?

Guys I checked out play music. It seems to be good but I have one question - I can't seem to be able to download just one song. The "download" options only seems to be available for the entire album. Is there any way around this?

Using VPN? Do you mean in a smartphone?
I have been wanting to listen to Spotify. I have the app on my mobile but in India it detects the location and stops working

I can help you with this sir.

1) Did you try any public VPN? Try VPN which has openvpn.

2) By any chance is you GPS on all the time?

If you don't find any vpn, let me know. I can share mine.

I've subscribed to Apple music. The library is great, and I like their suggestion. I tried Google play music all access before that, but their suggested playlists are weird.

Re: Your favourite streaming music service (radio)?

Anyone tried KODI for Android.
The 100FM Radius Digital add-on is All in one. Has 39 different Channels/ Genres. Complete time pass. Only issue with it is, it has no dedicated channels for Indian Music (Any language). It does plays some Indian songs under World Music, randomly.
Sound-Cloud add-on is also worth mentioning.

Re: Your favourite streaming music service (radio)?

Being an Airtel userI have a free Wynk subscription for one year. Yet I subscribed to Saavn, mainly because Wynk refused to play when I was in Australia citing regional limitations. Consequently, I decided to keep the Saavn subscription because I liked it's UI better than Wynk and the monthly subscription was just Rs 99 per month.

But to my horror after the 1 month free tier, iTunes has charged me Rs 320 for renewal. Am yet to figure out how that happened, but now I have gone ahead and unsubscribed from Saavn.

I am not able to find a way to ask for a refund. I had earlier been able to get a refund for Google Music after I found that it does not feature English songs.

Any help here?
