Yes I have ordered quite a number of times. They are good but takes long time to reach your doorstep. They ship by USps and in India it's handled by India post. Rest assured they are genuine.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Hey guys need some quick help.
I'm buying a case for my iPod touch and I like one on dx.com and it is about $4.50. Will I need to pay any customs duty when it arrives?
The same thing is available on eBay India for INR 400.

Thanks

Are these prices inclusive of shipping charges?

And come on - the price difference is only Rs. 150. Why aren't you ordering from Ebay?

Shipping is free.
I'm not ordering from eBay because the seller has only 1 colour black and I want some other colour.

Use a shipment forwarder like ppobox or borderlinx. They would get the packet to your doorsteps in India and would handle customs too.

Anything below 10k can be claimed as a Gift and no Customs duty needs to be paid for that.

No customs, but the wait to get the product will be long. Expect the shipment to reach you 30-40 days after you place the order.

Mobiles attract 6% customs duty. Shipping would be extra... 700-1200 INR. You may use live chat on both forwarders and discuss.

When I had imported my Nexus 4 16gb in March this year, I had to cough up 2400/- which included customs and shipping via Aramex shop n ship.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Had a sub standard experience on rediff shopping .

So it happens to be my mother in law's birthday today and after lot of pushing from my wife i was asked to send my MIL flowers and sweets to Yamuna Nagar in Haryana.

Now for some reason very few deliver to yamuna nagar , saw this vendor on rediff called gifts valley (Rediff has a tie up )

Ordered bunches of roses and kaju kalti (type of sweet) box online through rediff shopping.

While tracking the order online it said awaiting dispatch ,called customer support was told its being processed.

The order finally reaches about 15 mins back and my MIL calls my wife saying roses were dull and sweets box was not packed/sealed.

Enough of rediff shopping i guess(have send them a stinker but all i get back is an auto reply saying they are looking into it)

End result -Angry Wife/Annoyed MIL.There goes my dinner tonight
