Please try JSS hospitals at Mysore as well for the Covaxin. There were a few people (3 families) in my place of stay who managed their second dose appointment there and could do the to and fro drive easily.

There was only one place where they were stopped enroute (Bidadi) and allowed on after they showed the vaccination sms.

Worth a try.

Well - people did. And it worked for them. They were not getting the Cowin slots and the 4 weeks time was getting breached.

It’s a choice that is available and I pointed it out when I read your post.

I was able to book slot for 18-44 agre group in Bangalore, not once but twice. There are some tricks which can give advantage of couple of seconds, this is sufficient to get a slot.

There is a slight delay (few seconds) in intimation via Telegram message. I would suggest to aim a hospital which opens the following day slots consistently. Always use Arogyasetu app for booking appointment, not cowin site (entering captcha is the hinderance). Let me know if you are disperate to get a slot, I will try my best to help.

Thank you both. I was able to book a slot successfully today morning by following the recommendations of vaibzi. The twitter notifications are much faster than Telegram. I booked on the Umang app.

Today St Martha's hospital had opened a large number of slots which also helped. I can see the availibility improving, albeit very slowly, compared to a few days ago.

Where are these private/corporate/apartment building vaccination drive organizers sourcing the vaccines from?

Yes, they have all tied up with hospitals, but so far I guess all the vaccines are from the same stock that the central government has provided to states, since no state or private hospital buyer has as yet purchased their own stocks directly from vaccine manufacturers (and going by the news, seems unlikely that that will happen!)

So where are these guys getting stocks from? Are they getting doses from the state governments?

My apartment complex has had a few drives so far. They were all for 45+. Some of the tie ups were with hospitals with 250/- for Covishield and 1500/- for Covaxin. Some were with BBMP which were free of cost and I got myself vaccinated in one of these drives.

Overall the apartment associations invite Hospitals and BBMP and they come over - depending on availability - to the complexes.

Currently the govt. guidelines are recommending vaccine for lactating women but not for pregnant women. As we are expecting, Our Doctor suggested that wife can take CoVaxin only and not Covishield when the government opens it or if we get a paid center somewhere which is willing to do it.

Does anyone have an idea on this.

My wife’s second dose for Covaxin due from 2nd June onwards. With the shortage of Covaxin in new delhi, I’m afraid how should I go about booking her second slot, booking the first one was a breeze. Any pointers how should I book the second one in Delhi/NCR. How can i get myself added in the telegram group for vaccine availability updates for 18-44 group

Availability of Covaxin should not be an issue from June as supplies have been ramped up drastically and Ncr will be getting a lot more supplies. For getting telegram alerts, you can visit the website under45.in - there register for your respective city or pin code and you will get alerts on telegram once they open up. However be aware that the alerts are typically 30 seconds late and you may miss the slot (especially in Gurgaon). What I used to do is observe the timing of opening for a few days and then remain logged on cowin. Then keep refreshing every 10 seconds and book as soon as slot opens up.
(I have got my first shot of Covaxin on last thursday at fortis Gurgaon)
For dose 2, there will be specific separate availability from next month.

Although there are quite a few private hospitals in Delhi giving Covaxin, lets see how things fare when our turn comes up. Hoping for the best and thanks for the help mate :-)

I have tried looking for slot around 16.45 for 3 days in a row BUT for no avail.
As my last day is coming closer, need to get this done ASAP.

I saw a notification in our local area Whatsapp group a camp is being held in a school for vaccinating 18+ age group, and today's stock was over. It will go on for a few weeks, on first come first served basis, no pre booking needed. If the number of people exceeds the number of doses brought, the excess people are immediately issued with tokens, told to go home and report next morning. Covishield vaccine only. I will wait a few days to see how it goes, then take my son there.

Meanwhile the second Covishield dose for me and my wife was due on 22nd May (8 weeks), but we have been informed to report on 22nd June instead.

Like said by jkrishnakj, ready to drive to Mysore? Then you have a chance.



If I were you, I would have been glad to take this up. A drive opportunity, more than a jab. :)

Looks like I have even stopped getting alerts on the under45 telegram groups. I can see in the CoWin app for today showing "Booked", but I didn't get any alert. I am in the Thrissur and Coimbatore groups.
