Extremely good. You cant predict the twists in the end like in the Indian movies

Heroes

Went in with no expectation and was surprised.

A simple movie with a simple message. A story about 2 guys of today who undertake a road trip to Punjab, HP and Leh to deliver 3 letters to 3 families who lost a loved one working in the Indian Army. Why would they deliver letters ? As a project of making a short film on why not to join the Indian Army !

Preity Zinta is the show stealer - what a performance, WOW !! Sunny Deol plays a Air Force officer, crippled by a crash but he gets mouth his trademark dialogues. Mithun is remarkably good in the last story. The 2 lead heroes are the weak point here - they are fine in the comedy scenes but in the emotional scenes they suck.

The music is just ok and there are a couple of songs that slow down the story. Direction is fine in a few emotional scenes. The cinematography rocks - Punjab, HP and Leh has been captured beautifully.

Verdict - 2.75/5
- Go catch it once for the message it delivers.

ps - watch the scene where a crippled Sunny Deol who cannot move his legs - bashes up 15 people who tease his GF. He crawls on the floor using his fists and each time his fist hits the floor - a tile cracks !!

Maybe the tiles were of shoddy quality

Anyway I would rather spend my dough on the two big releases the coming Wednesday. Might catch Heroes when there is nothing else ro watch.

Aegan -a Diwali Bomb

This movie is supposed to be the tamil "remake" of Main Hoon Na.
Has very little in common with the original which i liked very much.
I'd give about 1.5/5
Give it a miss!

Good movie.

OT: Was watching National Treasure 2 - Book of Secrets yesterday.
The surprising part of the movie was the car chase scene where the truck runs over the bonnet of a G-Wiz :-)
I wonder if it was planned or if the owner was in for a shock. And if it was planned, it is really surprising that they picked the G-Wiz (aka Reva).

Also found it on this forum:
