Overall I liked the way everything tied together in Babel, the whole storyline was how one single act by one person can change the lives of so many people. Makes you think a lot

First a disclaimer: I have not seen hello but have read the book.

When logged into you phone without calls in the queue you can pretty much do what you want as long as your Team Lead agrees. I used to leave my phone and system logged in and go down to the cafeteria to have breakfast at times and i wasn't the only one from my team, My TL got his teams productive time maintained and his agents got their breaks, if you understand the call flow patterns you can swing things. This would happen regularly. and we weren't supporting just some customer, we were taking calls for MS for NA Customers. you do not want to piss off the worlds largest SW company and we never did, had a few close calls but never messed up anything. It all went off smoothly. And the cabs? If you're friendly with the drivers you can get them do bend a little here and there. I have seen some drivers getting very friendly with agents... unscheduled pick ups, bending rules here and there.

What is depicted in the book is unrealistic as a whole i agree, but the individual pieces or actions are not that far fetched.

Oh and i agree about Babylon AD2050. It sucked especially the ending sequence which implies there will be a sequel which i hope never gets made.

They have dealt a very very bad blow to the original.

Verdict - 0.5/5

Now I must download karzzz. To get a rating of tha tlevel, compels one to figure out what's so bad, besides an urmila woefully past her prime.

Himesh cannot act though I must say he was better during the songs. Guess he is used to acting in videos. The new heroine is BAD. Urmila tries to look sexy in cleavage popping and figure hugging outfits but no go.

The director has tried to do a Don here and add a twist but the twist is so pathetic that you do not have words. Also copying entire sequences / scenes from the original is no direction. And to change the scenario they shot in South Africa and thats the best part of the movie - the locales. The music - 1/2 songs work while the others are so-so and the singing is totally dominated by Himesh.

KARZZZZ

Just back from Karzzz a while ago. They have made an absolute mockery of the original classic. Himesh should not act anymore. He should stick to what he does best - music and his singing. The direction sucks and that is something I had not expected from Satish Kaushik. Urmila sports cleavage but she looks old. Newcomer Shweta Kumar has nothing do, she cant act either. Too many songs and that too at short intervals, gets bugging. Nothing great about the support cast either.

There were just around 35 people in the theatre and there was a group of college youngsters making fun of the movie throughout and clapping at Himesh's antics which was quite enjoyable.

Rating : 0.5/5 (.5 is for just 2 or three songs). Absolute avoid.

Watch Karzzzz and you will ZZZZ soon enough

Karzzz

LOL NC & Dippy really hated the movie it seems.

Yes if you keep the original in mind then you would feel the same but if you look at it as a fresh movie then its not the worst that I have seen

Before I give my review, I must confess that I genuinely like Himesh's music although I cant say the same about his voice :|

I will mention what I liked in the movie & what I didnt

What I liked -

- They didnt copy movie scene to scene & character's antics
- Some songs are good
- The new girl is ok if not bad
- Himesh has acted better than his earlier movie
- Some scenes(he anyways has few) with Danny are good
- They have shot in good locales

What I didnt like

- The songs in 1st half are an overkill
- The twist in the suspense (although someone who has not seen the original might not feel so)
- Gulshan Grover is completely wasted
- I expected better from Satish Kaushik
- There is no gripping suspense like the original one
- in Some scenes you an make out that they have used trick photography i.e. the actors are not at actual place but in front of background picture, beats me why.

Over all rating would be 2-2.5/5 considering the type of movies that are coming & if looked as a new movie & not a remake.

If you are an absolute fan of the original & want to see how good or bad this movie is with respect to the original then Dippy & NC's ratings are applicable

Btw some Car blunders-

In the initial scenes the black car near temple is a Maruti Esteem & again in the temple scene the heroine drives in an Indigo(look carefully for this one)

I want to see Body of Lies too - the reviews are not that encouraging but I will watch it.

Next week - Golmaal Returns and Roadside Romeo. A comedy and an animated movie from Yash Raj with help from Disney.

Saw Body of lies yesterday. The movie is long and is enemy of the state arab style. russell crow i think is wasted in the movie. Di caprio is good.

Get Smart - Very entertaining and funny remake of the old series.

looking forward to watch "Eagle Eye"
