The theme of the movie is 'There is a monkey man(read evil) in every one of us, and there is a god in us too. When greed, anger, take over us, the monkey man in us is dominant, and in times of love, compassion, its the god within us.'
Monkey Man was covered extensively by NDTV etc. and also made front page on various dailies like Time Of India etc. Not to mention weekly magazines like The Week, India Today etc.

All in all, pretty famous across Indian cities!

Khuda Kay Liye

Quite a distressing movie about young minds being swayed to Talibanism, as well as racial profiling in the US in the aftermath of 9/11. Story deals with a Paki girl of British nationality who is forcibly married off to a relative in Pakistan, who is now under the influence of the Taliban movement.

Good music, and interesting background scores lead the movie, which is generally slow in places. Good peformances from the cast. Quite convincing, i must say.

Bennyboy Rating : ** 1/2

Waltz With Bashir
An Israeli film based around Israel's invasion of Lebanon, with the massacre at Sabra and Shatila refugee camps as the central theme. It is an animation movie, but unlike anything i have ever seen. And its definitely not for the weak hearted.
The story unfolds as the main character, Ari, realises that he has no memories of the Lebanon war he took part in 20 years ago, except for a vivid hallucination about a massacre. He then interviews friends/comrades to fill that void in his memory. As the movie progresses, the void fills up... and then some!
Watch out for the opening scene. And be prepared for the closing sequence.

It was a really refreshing change, after Ghajini, the last Bollywood movie I'd watched. I hope they make more movies like Delhi 6.
Yet to see but read a lot of review here and there. Only guy to support it. Doped?

The good thing i found about the movie is this

There is a very good looking classic bike in the movie. Looked somehow like a yezdi with bullets sound. Only pleasing thing in this movie.
Overall 2/5
Man, you a petrol head!

maddy42: bang on, the best thing about the movie were the bikes. The Yezdi kinda one was a 'Triumph T110' and there was another - an 'Indian Scout'. Beautiful exhaust roars.
Another one!
