re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

AXN is currently having a Sherlock Season two marathon. Now after watching episode 1 and currently on to episode 2, I can say that I'm feeling just like I felt 2 years ago when I first watched it.
There is nothing less than just brilliance which could describe this series. For me, it's the best the television can ever be.
If Breaking Bad is the best drama series ever made, then Sherlock is the best detective series.

Season 3 will air tonight in UK and I just can't wait to see it. Let's just say that I am as excited as a person who is going to take delivery of his brand new car out of the showroom tomorrow morning and he simply can't wait for the clock to strike.

I am sure the new season will be worth the long wait of two years.
Long live Sherlock.

Waiting now for the 2013 Christmas Special!
Downton Abbey is absolutely amazing! The 2013 Christmas special is already on torrent sites.

Did you know that Michelle Obama is so hooked to this that the producers courier her each episode as soon as it is canned. The rest of US has to wait till the US Season starts much later!

Im waiting to record the new Sherlock on Tata Sky from tomorrow. In a couple of weeks I should receive the DVD of season 3 which I had pre ordered on Amazon UK.
I really like Benedict Cumberbatch. First class actor.

Im expecting the Downton Abbey Christmas Special 2013 to reach within the next one week. It was shipped to me from the UK (Amazon) on 26th Dec the day after it was aired. Im not quite in the same league as Michelle Madam but I am keen enough on it to buy each episode as soon as it is released. Well worth it.

The last season of Poirot reached us a month ago or so. Lovely production but very dark and sad because Poirot dies in the final episode.

I watch the shows online. No need for a DVR
current shows watched
Arrow - fan of this type of superhero show
Dracula -- very interesting
Hostages - nice show
The Tomorrow People - interesting
Marvel Agents of Shield (could be better but I am a Marvel junkie so I watch it anyway)
Another nice Police show was Graceland

Just started to watch Almost Human, looks good.

recently,
the concluding episodes of '24' were gripping!
the Salman Khan and Aamir khan episodes in Koffee with Karan were interesting!
NDTV's 25 years awards ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan wherein awards given to 25 Indian Legends was great to watch!

It was good and as usual, acting from both the actors was top notch but something was amiss.

Sherlock was acting as if he has become a more "social" kind of person which he was not at least till the previous seasons. His chemistry with one of the female character (I won't take name) seemed rather strange. I am sure it will lead to something in the upcoming episodes.

But the first 45 minutes were absolutely epic and were a treat to the eyes.
Looking forward to the second episode and the good news is we won't have to wait even 7 days for episode 2. It will air on Sunday.

Guys.
Any feedback on Orange Is the New Black?
89% Tomatometer and I read some good reviews about it online.
Its a Netflix original. With Arrested Development S4, House of Cards and this Netflix is turning out to be the best thing to happen to sitcoms after HBO.

Exactly what came to my mind. Sherlock was a bit different, but then again he is sherlock. Will find the reason in the coming episode. But the humor, mystery and thrill were in place.
A perfect start to season 3

Loved the comeback.
The quips between 2 brothers was brilliant and funny.
However i agree he is more social in this when he portrayed till now he is an antisocial person. Maybe it will build upto something.
All in all smashing episode.

Everytime I see Martin Sheen in The West Wing, I wonder how would the entire show be incase we had Charlie Sheen playing the American President.
I mean keep the theme of the show the same, but have Charlie in.

Orange is the new Black is very nice. But you need to have a different kind of an outlook to enjoy the show, as the theme is very different. Go ahead and treat yourself.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Currently I am watching:

1. 24 (Original).
2. House of Cards.
3. Breaking Bad.
4. The Walking Dead.

Depending on the time and mood, I select the serial and episode.

I use Roku 2, ChromeCast, PS3, iPad and PC for streaming from NetFlix and VUDU.
Quality: HD (720P), intentionally throttled to conserve GBs.

Traditional TV is available only at one place to catch up on local news and events.
