If you like House of Cards, you will like Veep too.
I have watched both, and while the House of Cards was good (Kevin Spacey), the Veep is perhaps on the funny side and a bit more warm (thanks to two excellent actors-Julia Dreyfuss and Anna Chlumsky). Try Veep and you will not be disappointed. Just be patient for ep 1 and 2 of season 1 and once you get into episode 3, I can assure binge watching. AFAIK, it is 8 ep in s1 and 10 in s2. S3 is due in April.

Watched every season except the last season of Breaking Bad on Netflix. And anyways, it suggests stuff to watch and I watch off-beat movies...
Thank you for the response! It does help to know how people are getting their shows on TV. Info about Unlocater was cool. I saw that they are in Beta. How is your experience with them. Currently I am using HMA. They are just awesome.

Thoroughly enjoying Boston Legal with the antics of Denny Crane and Alan Shore.

James Spader is a first class actor indeed.

Also thoroughly enjoying Top Gear Season 21. All the usual rubbish that the three naughty boys get up to, with some good ish car reivews thrown in for good measure. I like them bringing in Hugh Bonneville as the Guest Star this episode. He is fantastic as Lord Grantham in Downton.

Incidentally the latest episode of Downton - The London Season, is first class too.

What surprised me recently is that they have already shown the last series of Hercule Poirot in India. They never normally do this and we typically have to wait for ages until good TV content reaches us. Im happy that they are now beginning to treat us on par at last with the rest of the English speaking world.

re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Just did some random googling and discovered these gems from my childhood, now available as free-to-view episodes on Youtube:

Entertainment/Fiction:
Fraggle Rock
Small Wonder
The Twilight Zone
Faerie Tale Theater
Home Improvement
The Nanny
The Cosby Show
He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Some Mothers Do 'ave 'em
Newhart
Roger Ramjet
Sledge Hammer!
Police Squad!
Law & Order (UK) (based on Dick Wolf's legendary US series, which I have watched religiously)

Reality/Non-Fiction:
The Amazing Race Canada (this is good, have watched the whole Season1)
The Amazing Race Australia
The Amazing Race Asia
Carl Sagan's Cosmos

There are obviously many others, so add to this list (PM me and I will keep editing and adding).

Please note that Youtube has copyright restrictions which means that material gets pulled down from time to time. Also some stuff is available subject to regional and age constraints.

Enjoy!

The most entertaining show I've watched till now has been Fawlty Towers. Although the John Cleese brand of humour isn't everyone's cup of tea, I have never laughed so hard in my life!

Cheers,
Vikram

Started with the Season 2 of House of Cards. I'm at S2 E3. Excellent work by Kevin Spacey. Gripped, eager to make time and watch the rest. Are others watching?

Cheers!

Started with True Detective and House Of Cards- S1. Both are outstanding.
Guys, reviews for Banshee S2 please. Is it better than the first season?

Yesterday’s The Walking Dead episode was good. Better than the last one. Looks like the next episode will be interesting.

Yep almost there but the hard-core action, blood, gore and the manly fist-fights are missing compared to the first season but the story is progressing nicely with plenty of twists thrown in. Do start watching it. The last episode was kickass! The one that aired before that, was the most boring episode so far in the history of Banshee!

Incidentally, in the last two series that I watched - Suits & Castle - I enjoyed the peripheral stories of the protagonists relationship with the other characters more interesting rather than the core stories.

Exactly.
But I wonder why the series is named after Castle and not Beckett. The story is all about her, isn't it?

Yes the entire series was funny. I bought the DVDs a long while back. Most enjoyable.

If you like BritCom, maybe you should consider the classic PG Wodehouse greats - Jeeves and Wooster. First class Comedy of Manners.
