Valid concerns; some of them do come down to individual circumstances and preferences too.
I don't mind the extra walking; upside of traveling light, haven't checked in a bag for years now. I also prefer using facilities further away from the gates (cleaner and less crowded), so the last ones in arrivals lobby before one steps out is just a couple minutes extra walk for me, which obviously won't work for someone needing to claim luggage.
My primary convenience requirement from an airport is how quickly I can get through the drop-off > departures > gates > arrivals > pick-up cycle and some facilities to freshen up.
Everything else is fluff that just gets in the way. Someone traveling with luggage, family, kids in tow would obviously have very different needs and preferences.

Same here. I also prefer for boarding/de-boarding by bus and not by gate during daytime:). Love seeing the planes from close quarters. Mostly the boarding/de-boarding is also faster as they do it with 2 aircraft doors. Once Indigo did de-boarding with three doors open and it was rapid.
For my mother, who is travelling alone to Bengaluru next fortnight, I explicitly got her booked on an Indigo as it would come to T-1. I believe T-1 is more senior citizen friendly as the walking is lesser and baggage retrieval is easier. Let's see how it goes.
